Have you seen mary and kens new tubsystem for their snakes yet? What do you think about it? (I have very little info on snakes and how to keep them and happily so, im just curious)
I did see them! And I must say, it’s a bigger improvement from their last tubs, but I’m still not impressed…
They still have no enrichment whatsoever and no hides as far as I’m concerned. I think they found it unnecessary to put any in since the tubs are dark anyway, but these snakes are still left with a large open space and only paper towel to hide under. Not to mention the tubs are still quite small in terms of height, which means they can’t periscope or climb (even tho BaLL pYthOnS DoN’t CliMb??)
From what I’ve heard on this site, wide open space is the real stress inducer in BPs, but the easy solution is lots of enrichment and hides! (which they didn't include in their tubs).
The thing that worries me the most about them though is that they clearly haven’t learned all there is to know about BPs (hence them purchasing two spiders and a champagne and planning to breed them) and since people on the internet throw jabs at people just because they don’t like them, they take none of the good advice and constructive criticism that people give them. They just brush it all off as another hate comment.
So yeah, that’s my opinion anyway! Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about anything since I’m still learning~
