i have three more eps of queenmaker and i'm really glad they're making villains this unlikable
"No backing down now, you got that? Huh? There's nothing in our way!"
I love how at the end of every emotional conversation they have Kyungsook just starts to jokingly tease Dohee. You can see how her lightness and optimism just lift her spirits and make her laugh through the tears. It's so disgustingly sweet I'll just be thinking about it for days.
SHE'S WHIPPPPPPPPED.
i want to lick her face
oh they’re ANGRY. come come, here’s a short one: https://archiveofourown.org/works/49853998
summary: “Hwang Do Hee, did you not hear me before? Do you need me to tell you another way?” rewrite/extension of the scene in episode 8 where Do Hee brings Kyungsook to meet a donor, she storms off angrily, and they have a fiery little argument. Isn’t there a better way to channel all that tension?
where is all the queenmaker fanfiction i need it.
Chrisoel watches: Queenmaker
First I watch the episode in which Oh Kyung-Sook gets her make-over and had an intense case of "the woman looked so much cooler before her make-over" and felt it didn't suit her character. But I felt that this was probably not an issue for most people, which I attributed to both personal and cultural reasons:
a) I have a personal preference for women looking like the look when they don't spend a lot of time on looking "presentable"
b) all I have read about korean beauty standards
But now her team uses her image of "not super styled because she spends her time actually getting shit done instead of caring about her looks" against her opponent? After having pushed her looks into the very opposite direction? (There is also the aspect of the opponent living more luxurious, but I'll focus on the look-based aspect.)
I am slightly confused. Let's see how this evolves.
Also, why give her short hair? I have had hair both long as her's pre-haircut, as short as her's after and at least with my hair the short haircut was way more difficult and time-consuming to mantain. With long hair I did maybe ten to thirty seconds of brushing and then tying it into a pony tail while the short haircut required me to blow dry my hair over a brush and whatnot.
That make-over scene was glorious in terms of gay vibes between Oh Kyung-Sook and Hwang Do-Hee though, I'll give the show that.
