What kind of hobby's do the fright kids have

Oswald: Drawing.

What are the differences in the physical appearance of a zombie compared to a human in your Au? Do they look human or is it really obvious to tell they are a zombie just from their looks?

i guess from the back it wouldn't be too obvious, but as soon as somebody sees their face, it'll be pretty evident they're a zombie. first off, they're extremely pale and sickly looking, and sometimes u can even see the veins in their faces. when mob is particularly weak and hungry, ritsu can usually tell bc he looks even more sickly than normal, and he starts to see the veins beneath his skin where he normally wouldn't

a lot of zombies have a stumbling gait, and that's from their thrown-off equilibrium; the side effects of being a zombie suck. mob actually has a mostly intact equilibrium and he still walks pretty similarly to how he used to, but there's just something... off about it. meandering and lazy

many zombies are probably walking around with open injuries, which humans,, ,typically don't do if they can help it ! seeing a zombie stumble along the streets with most of their shoulder raw and mauled, or one of their eyes missing or smth, is not uncommon. if a patrol car sees a person that is gravely injured but otherwise acting fine and unbothered, they'll likely shoot them

another tell is their eyes, but you'd have to get pretty damn close to a zombie to see it clearly and the other tells are more obvious. zombie eyes are clouded and glassy, and often "empty of emotion" as the settlements love to describe it. the original color of the irises are greyed out, which means mob's original red is now a pale pink. zombies actually have poorer eyesight than humans—something about the infection damages them—so when mob gets cured, he sorta just has to live with shitty eyesight for the rest of his life

it only took reigen and teru a few seconds to soak in mob's appearance and realize just what they were looking at. it's pretty glaringly obvious, especially when u knew them beforehand

Do zombies in your zombie au need to eat human flesh to survive or do they just eat it just because they crave it? If they don't eat it will they die of starvation? What does Mob do instead of eating human flesh?

(i talk about animal death and hunting here, just a quick warning!)

zombies in this au aren't rly after human flesh in particular, nor do they crave it. zombies in more rural areas tend to eat animals (if they can catch them) since there's less people, but in more urban places humans are simply the most abundant Thing to eat other than food in stores, which humans often steal first

starvation is indeed a leading cause of zombie death—the ones that have to rely on animal meat simply aren't nimble enough to catch any most of the time, and city folk in settlements are typically armed and ready to fight back. zombies aren't rly a pursuit predator—they're more akin to scavengers

ritsu feeds mob whatever the hell he can get his hands on—usually that's canned food he finds in stores, bags of stale chips, etc. ritsu would try to hunt an animal or something, but despite the fact that he carries that pistol he's got with him everywhere, he is terrible at shooting it. he misses constantly. the chances of him hunting down and even knowing how to properly cook the meat of whatever he somehow killed is ...low

ritsu makes sure mob is well-fed (well-fed should probably be said in air quotes ... they r still just scraping by) before he even Considers eating anything himself. this is because 1) he's a good brother and instinct Tells him to do that, and 2) ...admittedly, he is scared of what mob will do if he ever starts to actually starve. ritsu is a very ready meal right next to mob at all times, and all mob would have to do is bite down on ritsu's neck once, and he'd surely be dead. he's ,, a little fearful of what a starving, zombified shigeo will resort to, or how difficult he'll become. even mob getting snappy and irritated is dangerous

What were ritsu,tome,reigen, and teru reactions when mob was cured?

oh they were ecstatic, ofc they were !! it was a very long wait for them—the cure process is still vague in my head, but i imagine mob is put into a coma so the cure can rly work through his system. they were stuck waiting for a few months for him to wake up, and it was a bit terrifying there for a while; towards the end, the doctors were getting worried. no person had ever been under that long without dying, so they were marching into unknown territory here

ill go into the cure some other time, but the gang was so relieved when he woke up. he didn't start talking and acting normal right away or anything like that—it was a gradual change. he acted pretty confused at first, and he seemingly didn't recognize any faces properly (which was extremely disheartening), but over the first week or so, he started speaking in understandable sentences and he didn't seem nearly as confused

the gang truly couldn't have been happier when mob was showing signs of improvement. they worked very hard to keep mob alive and happy and healthy, so he'd come back to them eventually. and now they Have that

Do zombies in your au have any weakness?(for example vampires being weak to sun)

hrrmmmm i don't think so ! they have the same "weaknesses" that humans do, rly. i suppose u could exploit their simplistic thinking—they tend to follow noises or smells of any kind, good or bad, and they've been known to walk into traps even if they're out in the open and extremely obvious. nothing like vampires w sun or werewolves w silver, tho. or ,. ,whatever the hell werewolves do

I kinda curious on how mob is cured in your zombie au?

Also you mentioned that he spent 2 years as a zombie does he pyshically and mentally age or does he not age since he's a zombie and remains the same age?

noooooo idea on the cure, honestly, im not a doctor </3 they put Some Substance in him.that's the extent of my science

he Does physically age. mentally tho .. perhaps not ! he sorta skipped two years, and even though he remembers some bits and pieces of their journey eventually, it still effectively tore out two years worth of pages from his childhood. at 16, when he's recovering, he still acts like his 14 year old self
