“Wait up Miss!” Grabbing up the wallet that had fallen to the floor, the rather thin figure ran up to the woman who had just had it fall off of her person. “You seem to have dropped this back there, and of course as an officer it is not right to let it just remain there.”

“Ah wait before you do go....” Reaching into his pocket, the officer withdrew a small notebook. “Mind if I just ask you a few questions first?”

He hadn’t even been back in civilization for a day, a fucking day and already people seemed to be buzzing about the strange rider that’s ‘come to town’. He had spent the last of his money on a meal and some cheap parts. They wouldn’t last, for sure. But all that Shin needed was good enough. Good enough to get himself back into working order, good enough to win a fight and earn some cash. That was exactly what he was working on in this public park. The shabby homeless man sitting on a bench as he tried to tinker with his dilapidated AT.

Just try and ignore the prying eyes Shin, that’s all that he had to keep telling himself to make sure that he wouldn’t make a mistake. . . Though, it had been a while since he had been able to work on his AT. Such showed in the momentary pauses that the man took in his repair attempts as he reminded himself of just how exactly these parts integrated into the skates. Pauses that the more frequently he took them, the more that the man seemed to be getting a headache as he quietly muttered to himself.

“Right, I got them on the way, I figured it was as good a day as any.” he said, as if wasn’t trying to cover up for something upsetting him for a bit.

“Well, maybe I just need to wind up a bit. I.. found someone.“

Cibor walked out from the parts shop he had been visiting, a bag in tow with a scowl on his face. His parents had /forced/ him to come out and blow a sizeable chunk of their change to buy some damned skates???? It’s like they wanted to torture him or something! But still, he respected them enough to at least purchase them. Even if he had no desire to use them. He got enough exercise walking to and from school, but because he was late nearly every day, they insisted that if he wasn’t going to get his license, that he find a faster way to school.

Needless to say he ignored that for a while.

Then he came home one day and they sat him down with a check and a coupon telling him that they wanted him to exercise more, and that these new skates were “all the rage” with kids now a days. He loved his parents, but God could they be corny.

His thoughts continued to buzz as he walked down the street, distracted.
