Queen Ravenna: Evil Doesn't Love?
A/n: I wrote this a while ago and it's been sitting in my drafts so I've decided to give y'all some content. Not proofread since I wrote it.
y/n's POV
“I never thought that the evil queen would fall so low as to fall in love, with her personal guard no less.” Finn says
“I am not,” Queen Ravenna denies. “Either way have you not both been fighting for my heart?”
“I have been fighting for the love of a sister; she has been fighting for the love of a lover.”
It is true Finn, and I have been fighting for her heart for a few years now and now that I delivered Snow Whites heart into her hand, the fight was over, but neither of us seem to have won.
“Sister all I’m saying is that I never took you as one for love.”
“Oh, please love is a childish fairytale. Evil doesn’t love; evil can never love.”
During Finn and my fight for Ravenna’s heart I’d been her lover?? Or just warming her bed, however you want to say it. I truly thought that with the way we’d reassure the other of our love was sign enough that we were meant to be. And it seems I was wrong. Hearing her say what she has, well it was enough to hear my heart shatter into a billion pieces.
I turn away from the door and head outside to where the men were preparing for the mission her majesty had given us. I mount my horse before taking one last look at the castle before leading us onward.
As the months pass, I became colder my heart hardening. On the way back to Ravenna’s kingdom we are attacked. We do our best to fight them off, eventually coming away victorious, bloody, bruised and injured.
We finally arrive back at the castle, handing our horses over at the stables before heading inside to clean up. On the way in I bump into Finn.
“Was the mission successful?”
“Yes, it went as planned.” I say dully, clutching my side where a sword pierced it.
“What happened to you?”
“We were attacked on the way back. We fought them off but a lot of us were injured.”
“I’ll let her majesty know, while you go fix yourself.”
“Thank you.”
He lets me go on my way, I head to my quarters, grabbing a clean outfit before heading into the bathroom to bathe and clean the wound before stitching it.
After bathing I get dressed and begin to look at the wound. It was deep but not to deep thankfully. I grab the needle and begin to stitch it back together.
“Are you ok? Finn told me what happened.” I hear Ravenna’s voice from behind me.
“I’m fine just a scratch.”
“That doesn’t look like a scratch to me.”
“Why do you care?” I ask finishing up the stitches as I remember the whispered conversation to Finn all those months ago.
“Because I love you.”
“Oh, do you really?” I ask sarcastically. “I thought I heard you say that love is a childish fairytale. Evil doesn’t love; evil can never love.”
“You heard that?” she asks shocked and worried.
“Yes, I was on my way to tell you that we were about to leave for the mission, when I heard you say that.”
“It was a lie I told Finn,”
“You said it with so much venom your majesty that you can’t say that you didn’t mean it.”
“y/n please, I was scared, scared of how people would react if they knew. But when Finn told me that you came back injured, the fear I felt not knowing if you were ok was killing me, I was so worried.”
“Your majesty, as you can see, I’m fine.”
“y/n, I love you and I don’t care who knows anymore, I will announce it to the whole kingdom, I will do whatever you ask of me.”
“My raven, all I want is for this kingdom to prosper, to have light and joy fill this once beautiful place for everyone her to be happy. And most of all I just want us to be happy as well.”
“y/n I will do whatever I can to bring joy back to this kingdom, I used to think that no one deserved happiness, but it turns out I was and am very wrong. You’ve taught me that everyone deserves happy endings and I’m going to do my best to restore this kingdom to what it was before, with you by my side I know that I can do it.”
“I believe you my raven, I’ll help you through all of this, the whole kingdom needs what we’re about to do.”
“Thank you, Dove, with you by my side I know that I can do this, together we can.”
