I had some desires. One, draw one of my old OCs. Two, draw them in Vehicle Voltron uniform. So, in the end, I drew Penn, one of my older OCs from like 2010 and I put him in an orange version of the uniform because I love the colour and felt it’d be nice to give him a different version. Especially making his shorts because Penn loves to wear his shorts. But it’s fine in space, he isn’t exactly a human. So! Here we have him! But that’s not all.
I wanted to draw him again but I had no ideas. It was suggested to me for him to give someone sweets, because he loves sweet things, sharing sweet things, and befriending others. So....
I had him share his candy with Shannon of Vehicle Voltron! Huzzah!
The love of Penn continues. @queenscene2 adored him and wanted to hug him. Of course, I was inspired again. And I really hope she doesn’t mind that I share this, I just adored it so much. Her character/insert hugging Penn!
There’s more to Penn, though. He may seem like a jovial child who has a sweet tooth (a whole mouth of them), but he also has a defense mode, a part of his programming. He doesn’t always like it, others could get hurt, but he can and does fight when he’s protecting others.
It was interesting coming up with his defense mode hand. Eons ago, when he was a character for an old, non-Voltron related RP (long before I knew of Voltron at all), it was just flesh toned, like the rest of his skin. He didn’t have the blue lines on him, either. But they were added for this design and showing him in a Voltron AU.
So, that’s it on Penn. And he’s a freaking cutie! I miss him so much. I even have a couple of others from the same RP he used to be in; they predate him, too, both in story-age and when they were made as characters.
First we have Reid.
Tall (like six feet, eight inches), known for his love of piercings and his soft pink hair, this guy’s fun. He probably misses his studded belts and platform boots. He typically has a reddish mark seen on his face, for such AU, though, I nixed that because he had it for reasons in the old RP.
Next we have Alger (used to be spelled Alg3r, but for such AU, going with the regular spelling).
A dorky scientist who is blind in his right eye. He loves photography and baking, especially his special chocolate cake that he refuses to share the recipe to. Reid calls him ducky because when he was younger, he followed Reid around like a duckling.
