it would come as no surprise that her reply had been perfect, almost too perfect, but nevertheless, it entertained him! there was just something about it, from the laughter that erupted concealed the wide-eyed gaze and it even managed to make him forget that she had covered her mouth. he could not easily do that, not that he wanted to anyway, after all, he had been taught that a smile was something to share, and never to feel shame over.
with pleasure, the corners of still soft flesh pulled upward into a crooked grin, and with the movement came the twist of scars that never fell down. ❝ i could fix her face you know, and make her look lovely... oh, but if she has an ugly personality you can't change that. oh no, there's absolutely no hope for those with an ugly personality. it's a shame really, but also not my problem! ❞ his words ended in a hyena-like laugh.
