Decided to finally work on this cause why not. Title is slightly click bait but there is mpreg I promise. This ain't gonna be as polished as my other posts cause I'm not a doctor and don't know any of the technical terminology. This is just something I thought of for my parent dr. Note that this works for any gendered couples (and probably poly relationships too)!

Due to breakthroughs and discoveries in medicine scientists have developed human embryo incubators, HEIs, (pictured above). They're colloquially referred to as "eggs" and I scripted there's no exploitation of them and they're ethically regulated so no cloning/gene editing dilemmas!
In order to have "egg babies" there needs to be more than one parent as cloning isn't really allowed. Doctors will take DNA samples (semen, eggs, or blood) from both parents and use them to create a zygote. Once created, the zygote is inserted into the egg to gestate and given to the couple to take care of. The couple is allowed to watch the entire process of the zygote being made.
These eggs are capable of regulating internal temperatures and providing nutrients to the fetus as long as it is kept in safe environments and given formula once or twice a day (depending on its needs). A healthy egg has a subtle warm glow while one that is lacking in needs is bright and flashing, typically associated by a beeping sound if it gets dangerously low. These eggs are also completely mobile and egg carriers are commonly sold.
Do not leave your egg unattended, they should be with you at all times like traditional pregnancies.
The eggs will take nine months to gestate and go through all the stages and trimesters of traditional pregnancy. They're also warm to the touch! At the beginning of gestation the eggs glow in magenta and red hues and progress through the rainbow until it achieves blue and then white. Each color stage can last for a couple weeks or a month as the time differs for every egg. In it's white stage an egg is extremely close to "hatching" and a couple should be prepared to introduce a new human to the world! It is recommended to have medical assistance when the egg "hatches" but most births are completely safe, doctors and midwives are just precautions.
Now for the actual mpreg part. This entire process can also be done on a consenting parent. The zygote will be inserted into their womb and if they do not already have one it is possible for the doctors to give them an artificial womb (which I scripted is non invasive and kinda just... "appears" in the body because I am not going through surgery). The artificial womb can be temporary or permanent though be warned that permanent wombs do bring the risk of accidental pregnancies.
It is also possible to transfer the fetus between parent and egg with no side effects! By simply holding it to your stomach and pressing a button it will transfer the fetus into your womb (and will give you a temporary artificial womb if you don't already have one) and you'll be able to self-incubate. Yes the fetus just appears in your womb once again I am not getting surgery for this.
Please note that when self-incubating the fetus will require and take nutrients from the parent. You will also gain all the side effects that come with pregnancy, such as pain and sickness. It is also advised to not self-incubate during the white stage if you don't want a live birth as the baby can come at any time.
