okay so i have a whole group of ocs in this rp my friends and i did

but this one oc girl, shes fucked up

she's a princess, right? she lives in this castle called the ravens keep with all her sisters and her name is karma. (6 of her sisters are my ocs, too, her oldest sister, destiney, is my friend carrie's oc). her mother died while giving birth to her and her twin, aura, but while karma's dad really loved aura, he... didn't like karma that much. 'cause when she was seven, she pushed two of her sisters out a window in the castle, just to see if they could fly? which obviously they couldnt, because theyre human,but this takes place in like the 1300s and theres magic everywhere. but starmey (her dad) didnt really like her in the first place anyway, because it was her birth that tech. killed daisy (her mother). so karma always kinda grew up fucked up, and her sisters didnt much like her either because her father didnt, and aslo because shes kind of annoying and mean. and even though she's like 8 during this story (9 in the epilogue) she's started this disgusting hobby of stealing hair and eyes from people? like she has this collection, and its really gross. but by the end of the story she has a new father figure, my friend celestial's character, his name is ambrose and hes WONDERFUL. and with him (in side fics/rps, mostly, but even a bit in the main rp) she's learning to control this stuff and she's figuring out that she's hurting people, and so she doesnt do it because she doesnt want ambrose to be mad at her and its just all really ?????? i just love karma so much... shes one of my favorite characters to write because shes unashamedly creepy and weird

True but as an aro ace I think it can be hard for some people to separate an Ace Feel from an Aro Feel? So like. Eh I mean do some research if you want to bht people don’t have to; heterosexual and heteromantic people don’t have to research theirs

I feel that people who are not heterosexual and romantic kind of have to be responsible for educating themselves on their sexualities, because you can argue that straight people don't have to research theirs, but you have to take into account that we are all taught about straight sex and romance practically since birth, and with asexuality and aromanticism especially, most people don't even hear of other sexualities until much later on in life. As ace and/or aro people, we should do our best to be as educated about our  sexual and romantic orientations as possible so we can accurately spread information to people who are not ace and/or aro or to questioning people who think they might identify on one or both spectrums.

I mean relationships in our culture are defined largely by sex; relationships are typically seen as romantic AND sexual and having to be both; so actually saying you don’t want a relationship is both an aro thing and an ace thing

yeah but if you're ace or aro spectrum you should like.. do some research on your own sexuality ya feel. like i mean you should know that what our society and culture says is often wrong when it comes to sexuality and on the most commonly referenced websites like AVEN they say tons of times that asexuality is separate from aromanticism

and even if the original posters of these things didn't realize their error, you would hope that some of the thousands of other aros and aces who reblog them would notice the misconception being continued through them
