I think the idea of accessible zines is super great, and i feel like it wouldn't even be much of a burden to include at the bottom of the picture or in order at the back of a zine?

actually, it’s even easier than that! oftentimes zines are offered in a pdf format and with pdfs, you’re able to include image descriptions in the alt-text of every image. and yeah, for non-pdf-zines, descriptions included elsewhere would work great too.
