hey, so. if you're planning to watch lok, i thought i should tell you, korra, the indigenous mc, goes through a lot of really intense trauma over the course of the show and the finale culminates with her making peace with it becuz she "had to learn compassion". this understandably upset a lot of viewers and i figured you'd want to know before going into it

You and like four other people have given me heads up on some things in LoK and I really appreciate knowing a head of time, so I am prepared to see it, you know? So thank you, cause yikes that sounds like it could get uncomfortable.

Like, part of the reason The Puppetmaster episode is still sticking to me is just because I was so not expecting... all that. (I am still planning on writing about it, but I don’t just want to talk about why I very much disliked the episode, I want to try and rewrite it.)

in honor of low elf esteem, i have a positive sera headcanon!! sera is a naturally good cook. she doesnt bother with recipes but she's very intuitive and good at mixing things, she can "just tell" when something is too much/not enough and uses scent to discern whether something is useable or expired. she habitually picks obscure plants that are good for flavor. she's capable of taking whatever mix of things they have on the road and tossing it together to make something yummy and filling (1/2)

(sera hc) she's self conscious about it becuz she doesnt kno how to read recipes and doesnt have formal training and can't make anything "fancy". at first she thinks the inquisitor is making fun of her when they compliment her food, but over time the quiz convinces sera that they actually do like her food!! eventually they have a lot of fun together (as bffs or gfs) cooking in the kitchen and making weird but delicious concoctions (stuff that's way better than cookies!) (2/2)
