Chapter 2: The Cabin for the night

The weather seemed to be getting better, at least enough to walk and explore a bit more. While Nancy and Robin were doing their best to get pretty pictures not only for the channel but for themselves, Chrissy and Eddie were close to each other, looking around the trees and any place anyone could hide. Obviously, this could be seen by Steve, who was behind being sure no one got hurt.

“Guys?” He took Eddie and Chrissy's attention. “Are you okay? You don't look like you're talking or doing much. Normally, you both don't shut up for the camera.”

“Right, ah, well…” Eddie smiled, nervously. “I feel tired, that's all.”

“Yeah, and we are just enjoying the landscape.”

Steve nodded, but didn't look like they convinced him. Luckily, kind of, they were interrupted by Nancy as she pointed at a rock. 

“Hey, Eddie. This looks cool to record that part you wanted.”

Eddie nodded, walking towards her to check the frame of the scene. Well, this was his job and he had to do it for the fans. He has been doing this since six years ago, he shouldn't feel nervous. Eddie took a deep breath, some vocal warm ups that made Nancy laugh, and sat over the big rock.

“Start any time.” Nancy said.

Eddie nodded, again, worried. 

“As you can see, we just arrived at Wayne National Park in Ohio.” Eddie smiled, but not open as he used to. “The weather looks nice, it might rain later tonight but, well, it's just nice.”

He was then in silence, and Nancy noticed. 

“Did you forget what you wanted to say?”

“Uhm, yeah. Was something about the sighting, right?” Nancy nodded. “Okay, let me try again…” he took a deep breath again. “Three months ago, the locals began to talk about a possible beast walking… Well, around the forest and like…” he sighed, a bit frustrated. “Sorry.”

“No, don't worry.” Nancy frowned. “Everything okay?” 

“Yeah, no, everything–”

He heard some branches moving at his back, making him jump right into Steve's arms and hold him close.

Chapter 4: The Cave

One more chapter before we finish!

Everything was a dream.

A nightmare, that would be the best word. Eddie Munson never saw a werewolf, an insect humanoid creature, or maggots that were bigger than Robin's dog.

He would wake up at the cabin, cuddling with Nancy and apologizing to Steve before breakfast. That was it. That was their trip, one that would get not many views but fun comments.

Eddie really wanted to believe that as he tried to open his eyes, but the truth was far from that.

By the time he woke up, he felt cold around his body, shivering and using the blanket to cover himself. Not exactly a blanket as he felt it, more like a sweater and a jacket. Eddie opened his eyes, listening to the rain, feeling some warmth coming from the light.

He sat down quickly, holding the sweater close to him and looking at the fire. Eddie quickly realized he was in a cave.

He was still shaking in cold, but also in frustration and fear, quickly making a hard scream before start sobbing.

The constant shaking, gentle but one over the other, made Eddie finally woke up. He felt cold, instantly turning to find the warmth he lost as the werewolf moved away.

"What? What time is it?"

Eddie yawned, quickly moaning. His legs hurt, especially the ankle he hurt, making him awake annoyed. By the time he could open his eyes, Eddie found the werewolf sitting at the entrance of the cave.

As they promised, the rain was no more, there was a gentle wind, and seemingly the sun would rise pretty soon.

"Fine, let's go. Could you help me here?"

The werewolf came closer, hesitant to touch Eddie from anywhere. He chuckled at this as nodded.

"You undressed me to dry my clothes and put the bandages on, of course I don't mind you touch me, big poodle."

The werewolf growled but their tail moved as if he found this funny. Still gently, and slowly, the werewolf held Eddie up, close to their chest. Maybe a bad idea, Eddie was tired and the warmth of it made him cuddle over and hug them.

Something felt off, everywhere, Eddie felt icky now as he arrived at the counter where Markus was checking the computer. But this man seemed happy to answer anything, Eddie wasn't sure if he enjoyed all this paranormal matter or just being in front of the camera. Markus smiled as Eddie asked about the ghost of the nun. "Johnny hasn't told you?" Eddie shook his head. "Even if I did, you tell the story much better." Johnny chuckled, being behind the camera this time as he recorded Eddie and Chrissy. "Thanks, man." Markus replied before leaning on the front desk. "Well, there's many people who had seeing the apparition on different floors but yours is the main one. And the stairs." He pointed at the ones in front of them

“Thinking about it.” Steve mentioned how Eddie wanted to name the chapter. “If a big wolf would be wearing clothes, would they need a pant that covered the four legs or just two?”

Eddie chuckled at this.

“That’s the real question, Stevie.” Eddie pointed at his head. “Glad you can think about important matters as well.”

Steve didn’t seem to like that comment, but chuckled anyway, stopping as the girls were behind checking on some cool rocks and leaves, taking pictures for later or their own.

“Hey, Eddie, may I ask you something?”

“Yeah, go ahead, big boy.”

“How would you feel if any of us leave the project?”
