When: Present Day
Where: Novi Grad ruins

While Remy had been out and about in Matchak quite a bit now, he hadn’t get made his way out to the Novi Grad ruins until now. He was better at understanding Sokovian just from being around it so much now, though he still couldn’t speak it very well, so he’d somewhat understood that things did happen in Novi Grad and they tended to be of the shadier variety. He suspected some sort of black market or petty criminals, maybe. It seemed prudent to finally check it out and see what kind of goods they were offering if indeed there was a black market. He wasn’t above scoping out some purloined goods, after all. It wasn’t like he was in any place to be judgemental about it.
So Remy found himself walking around what appeared to be rather deserted ruins, though with so many rubble piles and twisted streets it was hard to tell if he was really alone or not. That might have put some on edge but Remy knew he was fast and his senses were pretty keen so if trouble arrived he was relatively confident that he could deal with it. He wasn’t smoking, though he was carrying the collapsed version of his bo staff, just in case. Because he was on high alert, he noticed the sudden noise of some rubble shifting and turned to face that direction, not quickly or panicked, but turned to face it.
“Ain’t lookin’ fer trouble or t’ get no one else in any. Jest tryna mind my business.” He said, neutrally, though there was a friendly edge to his voice. Might as well start out that way. It wasn’t strictly true, exactly, but whoever it was didn’t need to know that.
