NON-SHIPABLE MUSES

Quentius Zuris Past

2136: Quentius Zuris was born on the turian colony of Altakiril. His parents are unknown and they both die in a mining accident a few months after his birth. He gets sent into foster care and awaits adoption, but it will take some time before someone adopts him. He is not a very desired baby due to his large frame and different looking way.

2138 - Age 2: Quentius gets adopted by a rather odd pair of an asari and an elcor. They both cannot have children naturally, due to the wifes latent Ardat-Yakshi genes. Quentius' adopted mother spent roughly 300 years in a monastery and was seen fit to return to society. She kept a low profile and never mated with anyone. His adopted father was just too old at one point. Since Elcor also has a higher lifespan.

2151 - Age 15: Quentius starts mandatory bootcamp, up until this point he has learned the asari language and some of the elcor language. There is no evidence why he learned them so quickly, but his parents soon found out that Quentius has a higher IQ than most turians or even other aliens, can read extremely fast and learned languages almost without hesitation.

2157 - Age 21: The First Contact War breaks out. Quentius doesn’t participate in it but he hears about it and is glad not to take part in it. He never saw himself as a fighter when it comes to his position in the world or the turian hierarchy.

2166 - Age 30: Quentius is approached by the Blackwatch, in terms of his high skill in languages and other things. At first he was reluctant to join them since it would mean going away from his parents. Since he stayed close to them after he finished his military training. After a few months he joined them and became their mediator. He handles the immediate discussions between other aliens and because of his language skills he rarely uses a translator. Quentius is also considered rather tactical and business-like when it comes to his job.

2176 - Age 40: During a mission regarding a reactor, they were tasked with eliminating a risk around the reactor. All went well until one of the people who they were working against decided to manipulate the reactor. It was a rather dangerous mission with a fuel reactor that has enough radiation to wipe out a colony if it exploded. Or at least it would if it was stationed near civilized life. The Blackwatch are designed to fight for Palaven no matter the cost, they knew they could die on any mission. Give everything for Palaven and most of all protect Palaven at all cost. Quentius knew enough about the reactor so he went inside, protected by his gear and started restarting the reactor. There was a malfunction and it overheated to critical levels. Haral and Renius already told Quentius to leave it be since the reactor was going to explode soon. However Quentius was one thing determined and of course stubborn. The next thing is something he can hardly remember as the reactor exploded and released radioactive waves, hitting Quentius full front with them. He has no idea what happend, he just woke up a few weeks later in a hospital bed, blind and probably more radioactive than an atomic bomb. Quentius survived the radiation poisoning. QUentius spent a lot of time in the hospital and was out of commission for a while.

2179 - Age 43: Quentius comes back to the Blackwatch after being released from therapy and the hospital. He is now legally blind but thanks to technology he is able to see heat signatures of people and can still work. He was never a full combatant to begin with, so he could still do his work as a mediator. His clan markings are partially gone along with some of the plates on his face. He still triggers some sensors due to the high radiation in his body. He is a walking glow stick by this point.

2183 - 2186 - Age 47 - 50: His life is fairly normal and he still works for the Blackwatch. During the Reaper War they are tasked with fighting mostly ground troops but sometimes the occasional capital reaper ship. During the final mission, his superior officer Renius who is actually leading the Blackwatch, decided to rig the ship with explosives to take down a reaper capital ship. However none of the crew knew that it was actually a suicide mission for something else. They did take down the Reaper but sadly the explosives didn’t trigger until after they were already shot down. During the fatal descent, almost half the crew died. Quentius survived for some unknown reason and was found by a quarian scouting party. He suffered severe damage to his eyes, rendering him completely blind after the Reaper War.
