Is it considered appropriate to add tags to reblogged material?

/Musing about different mark types and came up with some over categories, like assassin, combat, thief, delilah's witch type, Granny Rags creating/manipulation type. Anyone having some headcanons on this subject? Because I am having a rater big post incoming. So I'd appreciate some input :) ?
