13. How do you deal with writers block?

[extremely me voice] i see that i have been stuck in a rut, so my only solution is to get out and begin digging a new even deeper rut that i will inevitably also get stuck in

20. Post a snippet of a WIP you’re working on.

The man in the doorway seems almost hunched over, as if trying to make himself smaller than he should be. Drew adjusts his grip on the handle of his duffel bag, the strap digging into his palm enough to hurt. “You’re Malachi Burgess, right?” he tries. He sticks out a hand to try and initiate a handshake - palm clammy, holding all of the tension he can in his shoulder.

Instead of a yes or no, the man turns back towards the interior of his house. “Jesus, another one,” he says, faint and low but not quiet enough to escape Drew’s attention. “Right. Come in. Take your shoes off. You can leave your bag wherever.”

54. Any writing advice you want to share?

i know you and i have discussed some things and i don’t have advice so much as holy shit, i’m so excited for your nano, no matter what form it comes in and if you stop writing it i will astral project up to your place and execute flawless combo moves until you continue writing it

How would you feel if you paid someone a compliment and another person started jumping all over you, saying the compliment symbolized all sorts of politically incorrect stuff or some crap like that? (I guess it goes without saying this happened to me, and it wasn't a raunchy comment or any other thing that could be considered harassment. But, I got a diatribe in return by someone I didn't even know!)

Well, I suppose I’d look at the wording of my compliment and then at what this other person had said in reply and see if I could understand why they felt as if it was offensive and whether or not maybe I had made a mistake or been negligent (even unintentionally) with what I said.

I think sometimes, even when we don’t mean to make other people upset with what we say, it can happen sometimes. Whether we’re just not thinking or it’s just not something we’re educated about enough to see that it might be offensive or inappropriate. I guess if I looked at what I said and what they’d said and I could appreciate how they might have taken it that way, I’d apologize and make it clear it was just a misunderstanding and my intentions had been good.

If you know they were and you didn’t mean anything by what you said, maybe just accept that you can’t always please everyone and it’s the thought that counts, you wanted to pay someone a nice thought, and that’s sweet. If you can see this other person’s point of view, that’s great too, but if not, I wouldn’t let it stress you out too much.

awkward question, but you always say ask ANYTHING, so... me and my gf are gonna have sex for the first time. i don't really shave.. down ther.e.. should i?? i mean.. i don;t want her to think it's gross... but i don't want to shave it all off. HELP. this is so gross i'm sorry lmao :'(

You’re absolutely fine, darling. Stop apologizing. I did say ask us anything, didn’t I? I always go with a simple answer: whatever makes you feel sexy. Some people do have preferences, but at first I would go with whatever you feel most sexy like. After your sex life is more comfortable, if the two of you do have preferences, talk about it, but don’t force them to do anything you don’t wanna do. You should be fine! Have fun having sex. ;)

what do you do on video chat to make it not so boring...?

Well.. despite what we’re doing, it doesn’t get boring for me at all. I mean, we both can say “I’m boooored” after we’ve been video chatting for about 3 hours, but we’re not bored with each other, if you know what I mean.

But we do a lot of fun things lately! We’ve played hang man with each other, tic tac toe, and “guess the lyrics.” We watch TV shows together, and talk about it outloud which is really fun. We kind of just act like we’re actually together. Sometimes we just sit there somewhat silently/staring at each other. <3 It doesn’t really matter. Don’t try to force it so much, just do what you want!

i don't know what to label myself as :/ i think i like both genders but more one than the other.. but it's just so fucking confusing. what to do?

Labels do not matter.

There’s no reason for you need to label yourself. Just love who you love, be attracted to who you’re attracted to.. don’t worry about labeling it. That’s not what matters. You are what matters, not what everyone wants to label you as.

Do you guys argue a lot? Cause me and my gf of five & a half months argue ALL THE TIME. I hate it, but I still love her. It's not like our relationship is bad or anything.. we just argue a lot. Sometimes it's just hard. Y'know?

Yes. Absolutely. No relationship is perfect. As happy as you may be with someone, you are going to argue. Alexes and I argue a lot, but we still love each other and want to be with each other! I think with LDR’s, it’s much easier to argue muuuch more, due to the circumstances. It just makes everything much harder. Hang in there! I know it sucks when you argue, but just hold on because if your relationship is like mine, it’ll all be okay.

How do u stand the distance? It's so hard for me :/

Communication, communication, communication. Alexes and I literally text every single second that we’re available to. Our schedules are actually pretty compatible, and we’re always on the phone or texting if we’re not busy. I know her class schedule by heart now, and she knows mine too. You have to know what they’re doing so you’re not sitting there like why the fuck aren’t they texting me back? Because that’s not any fun!

It’s really hard. But I put together pictures, playlists, and make sure to always talk to her. I want to be with her so badly. I tend to wear her hoodies, shirts, and snuggle with the teddy bear that she got me. It’s not her, but it helps. I spray my room and pillows with her perfume when she’s gone, and when I close my eyes it’s like she’s here. There are little things that you can do to make it easier. To make the wait a little less hard.

But I’m not going to tell you it isn’t hard, because it sure as hell is.
