When do you think is the right time to break up? I've been unhappy and obsessing for a long time over my relationship. We had a break and I thought she wouldn't want to continue, but she did. I'd hate to just start talking about my issues again, but I don't feel loved or cared for, just like a fool. But I want to make it work so badly, and if she gave me like any sign at all I would probably stay but I don't know if I can anymore, not like this.
I think you may already know the answer to that, Anon. It sounds as if you’re hoping that I can provide an insight that’ll somehow change everything you’re feeling but in all honesty - I can’t. What I can offer is the reminder that relationships are never simple. Even the ones that might seem, from the outside, as if they’re picture perfect. I promise, everyone, no matter how long or devoted they are to their partner faces times where they and their relationship is put to the test.
Sometimes, life gets complicated and it’s not always anyone’s fault that it does but sometimes - you do grow apart from people. Sometimes, after you take a break, like you guys did, you come back as different people, for better or worse for your relationship.
Maybe there’s something there that’s worth fighting for, I really couldn’t tell you whether that’s true or not but if you’re deeply unhappy, I definitely think that’s a sign it’s time to be honest - with yourself and your lady.
