Fish update!
I’ve read the comments I’ve been getting on my fish tank questions. For starters, I think both my danios are super stressed out because there’s only two of them and they have a new food. (Dog ate the other one). Hopefully they’ll calm down after I get some new ones.
The betta tank water is turning a light tea color, still no nitrites on the test strips, but I’m getting the API master kit soon (once the am*zon gift card system starts working).
Yes, I know pet smart/co is not know for good quality, or practices, or being good. But the only other LFS in my area is....questionable. They sold me dyed danios that only lasted about six months, and didn’t have normal kind. They recommended and allowed my brother, in his newly set up ten gallon tank, to keep (against my warnings)

So I’m going to take my chances with petsmart/co.
