Hello c!Jack expert, can I ask if Jack ever told Niki that Tommy killed him? If so, what stream was it?
Actually I was under the impression he never actually told her about it (because the idea of her defending Tommy to Jack while knowing Jack was murdered by him makes me really sad)
'ello 'ello!!! honored to be considered a c!jack expert heheh (sorry again for the very late response)
and yup your assumption is spot-on, he never actually told niki that tommy killed him. he's made allusions that tommy's hurt him very very deeply but never told her directly what happened between them.
there's a couple reasons you could guess why, but long story short, i think it was just genuinely hard to talk about (-and if she already agreed with him about killing tommy without him having to share that traumatic experience why open the wound, you know?) and he also didn't wanting to risk losing the connection they had (or getting hurt) if he told her what happened and she defended tommy (that had already gone poorly with other people he'd talked to).
as far as i can remember (i will do a full dsmp rewatch one of these days) the only people's he's told about it are tommy (of course) and hannah (who he just hit his breaking point with and spilled everything to, that did not (as he'd worried would happen with niki) go well.
Stream vods anon once again! I loved reading your analysis, since I'm rather new to Jack Manifold lore it was really enlightening. I found the vod on internet archive if you want to watch it again!

Hi, I think you liked c!Sam at some point too? I dunno if any other c!Sam likers are still active, so I can't really figure out who else to ask.
What is c!Sam's deal with c!Hannah and why does he treat her so mean? (Like when she lost her elytra. Before that he seemed to care and be concerned about her with the Egg thing and be playful with her, but when she lost her elytra he was so uncaring about it.) Is it because of her betraying him at the Red Banquet?
"liked c!sam at one point" C!SAM WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!! not in the morality of his actions but in his sheer swag. consistently one of my absolutely favorite characters!!
you pretty much hit the nail on the head, after the betrayal at the red banquet, sam was very hesitant to trust hannah again. (though i have my issues with the wiki) the wiki says:
however, you're not wrong for wondering why he's treating her specifically so coldly, in fact, this post specifically criticizes him for his treatment of hannah around that time (and is totally worth a read).
i'm sorry, i can't give you a concrete answer for why he's acting the way he does towards her specifically, but i think it'd be worth attributing it to the way that sam tends to think in black and white, or moral absolutes (which this other post also goes into and worth checking out).
Least favourite c!Jack headcanon?
okay i couldn't think of a least favorite headcanon but my least favorite c!jack take i've seen is that "all his deaths should be decanonized because they don't fit the story" because it completely misses how brilliantly jack works as a character.
jack's storyline thrives because of how little the majority of the audience initially knows about him.
most people watching saw wilbur kill jack the first time and thought nothing of it, it's just jack after all, and the focus isn't even on him, it's on wilbur. so most people forgot.
most people saw tommy kill jack and expected jack to brush it off cause he just lost some things (right?), he could get them back, it was a little harsh, but fine, tommy apologized anyway. and jack's not the focus, it's tommy. so most people forgot.
most people saw techno kill jack, heard jack yell, begging techno not to take what little he had left and didn't even blink. the focus is on techno, so most people don't even look jack's way.
but then people start to talk about "rocketduo". people start talking about how they're planning to use the nukes and- what? why would he do that? what's tommy ever done to him? doesn't tommy have enough enemies?
so people start to look and- holy shit- what do you mean he said he lost his last canon life? he was joking right? and as the hotel is built jack's still there plotting and people are starting to talk about tommy killing jack, and wait- yeah I do remember that, I forgot that happened- that was canon?
and then tommy dies, and jack mourns. jack's the one to tell everyone about his death with a hurting, conflicted heart which shocked most people cause didn't he just want him dead? isn't this what he wanted?
and then tommy comes back and jack yells about coming back from the dead too, but he doesn't mean the same thing tommy means, right? because surely we wouldn't have missed that happening.
but most people did.
and guess what?
so did wilbur. and tommy. and techno.
and you realize how jack has been forgotten even when he was right in front of us. he got killed, not just hurt, killed, right in front of our eyes and we forgot. we overlooked it. we brushed it off. just like them.
and then jack's actions make sense. why he's so loud (to be heard), why he's so brash (to be seen), why he's going to such extremes (to be recognized). because his story has always been about trying to make his own legacy, not wanting to be forgotten anymore.
to for once, be the main character in his own story.
because most people didn't see him as one until now.
Hi I'm thinking of writing a canon divergence fic about Sam and Jack, but since they don't really interact much I'm curious what you think their relationship is like, since what I know is mostly that Sam doesn't like Jack because the latter wanted to kill Tommy.
Do you have any thoughts on what their dynamic would be/is like, in canon?
hi!!! (also sorry if it's been a while, i'm slowly digging through my queue and inbox one post at a time)
first off, very honored to have been the person you thought to ask about jack's dynamic with someone would be! fair warning it has been a Bit since i've watched the dream smp (not out of any malice it's just Very long) so my memory might be a bit foggy.
to make a long story short:
while c!sam was suspicious of c!jack, he wasn't ever made aware that jack was planning to kill tommy.
jack worked for sam one time to try and figure out what happened to some of the prison's cameras in an attempt to gain access to the prison, but nothing came of it.
jack (along with ranboo and tubbo) was told by sam the news of tommy's death. they don't get a chance to talk much about it, but jack was the one to spread the news across the server.
jack didn't get along with sam's robot, sam nook. jack genuinely cared for the hotel, but his need for it to be attached to himself (the name in particular) was seen unfavorably by sam nook as he saw it as a challenge to what the hotel was really all about (tommy).
when tommy and jack argued (after tommy's revival) tommy sent sam nook to "sort jack out", intervening between him and jack.
when jack left for new manifoldland, leaving the hotel, tommy talked with puffy and sam about finding (and killing?? likely a hyperbole) jack for leaving the hotel / not taking care of it while tommy was caught up w/dream (...i think)
they might've talked briefly during jailbreak, jack upset with sam at him "letting dream go", but i think that's the last conversation they ever had
there's a lot you can do with them! lots of unexplored potential! the way i see it the two biggest points of interest between them would be tommy (and their conflicting viewpoints on him, one angry and one guilty) and dream (and their very similar viewpoints on him, that he was the real evil of the server) but you're totally free to approach their dynamic from whatever angle you want!
What do you think cjacks favorite food is? I know a lot of people headcannon him as not needing to eat but I’d like to think once he starts healing, he finds comfort in food :)
i'm both completely on board with the him-not-needing-to-eat-after-revival headcanon and also completely in love with your idea of him finding comfort in food.,,, oh that just means so much to me actually. there's a lot that can be said about death, but in life, i think enjoying food is one of the greatest pleasures you can have.
i think he starts off wholly with niki's baked goods (symbolic of her healing as well) to prepare himself to truly live again. and then works his way up to soups and stews and chicken (like they used to cook in l'manburg).
i'm not sure about an absolute favorite but i think one of his favorites would be jam or jelly. something with fruits he can pick with his hands and smear onto breads -- either gifted from niki or baked himself. i feel like him kneading the dough and feeling the juice from the fruit dripping down his chin would make him feel closer to it, more connected, more grounded in where he is and just more glad to be alive.
Idk who else to send this to but this is so c!Jack core I think
go sit in the corner for making me sob my eyes out
