*Mateo’s up late at night, which is unusual for him. Even more unusual is the fact that there’s no lights on anywhere in the inanimal shelter- though the blanket is still working. Sprite lounges on a table nearby, the only inanimal awake with their caretaker.*

*Skips appeared from the shadows, a worried expression on his face. He noticed that Mateo was still awake- he noticed almost everyone when the house was dark and was able to wonder. He called out to the blanket*
"Mateo, It's getting late isn't it, comfortable one? You should be resting. You need it to look after all these creatures."
"ᴷᶦⁿᵈᵃ ᶦʳᵒⁿᶦᶜ ᴵ'ᵐ ˢᵃʸᶦⁿᵍ ᵗʰᵃᵗ ᵗᵒ ᵃ ᵇˡᵃⁿᵏᵉᵗ.. "
*he whispered that last part underneath his breath, perhaps his weak attempt at a small joke as he eyed Sprite from the corner of his eye*
