Family Ties
Since I'm home sick today with a horrible migraine, I thought I'd tell you all a little about my family.
This is my dad, Atticus. He is a retired Dream Pony not only because of his age, but because of his disability. When I was a baby, he was diagnosed with a nerve-degenerating disease that wore out most of his magic. Still wanting to feel useful, he uses the magic he has left to keep a shield around Cradle Plaza to ensure Copernicus' and my safety. My dad is my best friend in all of Equestria. He taught me about patience, honesty, and hospitality.
This is my mom, Maybelle. She was the best at interior decorating and making floral arrangements for every occasion. Her eye for beauty was one that couldn't be matched. We didn't always see eye-to-eye, but I know she loved me with all of her heart. She passed away a few months ago, leaving a bare spot in our family tree. I know I'll never forget everything she taught me about hard work, responsibility, and never settling for less than I'm worth.
