I made a queued post but then deleted it, but now the number didn't go down. Is there anything I can do about that?

So I haven't really been adding to my queue lately, and it's nearly empty now, save for a few scheduled posts citing specific dates in the future.
I'm curious...
In general, do you prefer it when a blog uses the queue feature or when it doesn't?
Yes, I like the steady stream of posts
I'm on the fence but prefer using the queue
I'm completely ambivalent
I'm on the fence but prefer not using the queue
No, I prefer seeing posts in real time
I kinda have a reputation for not getting much attention at all with my posts, so who knows if this'll get any responses, but what the hell. I've said before that I want to post more, so here's an excuse for me to post more.
The Queue
It's great it lets you post even when you're not there. But I always feel bad when I queue one up because it just has to sit there in line quietly waiting for it's time to shine waiting and waiting while I sit there with other post and reblog them as soon as I see them.
Just a friendly PSA to folks who like my stupid LoLEffect captioned things:
I'm going to be leaving California for Alabama for about ten days starting 05/21 through 05/30, so I've queued up the next ten days worth of captions. =)
