I feel like if Murphy did the test, his person would have been Charlotte. I feel like what happened with Charlotte kickstarted a lot of stuff with Murphy. After it happened, he left because he didn't feel like he belonged. He met Emori, & fell in love. I feel like the only other things he actually regretted besides Charlotte's death was shooting Raven & unintentionally causing Abby's death. He apologized to both Raven & Clarke and got forgiveness. He never got to do that with Charlotte & 1/2

2/2 those events eventually taught him how to be better (especially around kids) like when he stole medicine in season 4 for the little girl from Luna's clan, or when he protected all those kids & was willing to sacrifice himself in season 7. Charlotte, & the stuff that happened with her is the root of Murphy's character development and that event is his biggest "teacher" in the series.

I personally think, it would be:

Love: Emori or his Dad.

Regret: Charlotte.

Teacher: As much as it pains me to say it... Jaha. During that time Murphy was going through some shit. He was trying to learn to calm himself, and be different. Jaha came and believe in him. He gave him a gun. He let him leave Arkadia(what was it called at the time?) He let him be open if he wanted to be. He talked to him about Alex, his father. He invited him to come with him to The City Of Light, when most would have given up on him, and he believes and trusts in Murphy. He teaches him about Faith. He teaches him how to be calmer, in a way too.
