♫ - headcanon about music
// Mary adores music, although she’s not a snob about her tastes like some people. Her favorite genre is rock, but she’ll listen to just about anything. She once thought that she could join a band and travel the world, but that dream quickly died when her cousin Finn told her that she had a voice comparable to a dying goat.
✐ - headcanon about writing
When she was ten, Mary wrote a short story about a warrior selkie princess. It was a horrible piece of trash (in Mary’s later opinion), but at the time she was so extremely proud. She read a bit of her to her cousins, who promptly began to make fun of it. Her cousin, Finn, however, chased off the others and encouraged Mary to continue to develop her skill.
Years later, when Mary’s first Prophet article published, she dedicated it to her Da and her cousin Finn.
☼ - headcanon about sunny days
During her Hogwarts years, no matter how tired she was or how much homework she had, Mary would slip out to the grounds on sunny days and bask in the glow. She’d haul whatever work she needed, a blanket, and some leftovers and go out by the lake and sunbathe for hours.
☑:Is there something your muse would do again if given the chance, even though the consequences were highly negative the first time around?
When Mary was sixteen, she had a boyfriend named Aidan Tannis. He was her first serious boyfriend, and although she cared for him, in her heart of hearts she knew that she didn’t love him the way that he loved her. To be quite honest, Mary wasn’t sure how she felt. She’d always accepted Aidan as a norm of her life, an accessory that she needed in order to fit in at Hogwarts. Many people expected Mary and Aidan to stay together forever--
But those people didn’t know that Aidan had cheated. Mary had caught him screwing a seventh year Ravenclaw by the Hogwarts lake, and her temper immediately took over. She jinxed Aidan square in the face, and when the girl threatened to slap her, Mary turned her wand on her as well. When Aidan and the girl reported Mary, she’d been in huge trouble, and had been reprimanded by the headmaster and her head of house as well. Even Mary’s father had been disappointed.
However, Mary would go back and curse the pair into next week if given the chance.
♒:What did your muse think their life would be like when they were younger?
When she was very young, Mary thought she’d grow up to be an apprentice of the Irish goddess Flidais, Lady of the Hunt. She’d been fascinated with the story since her grandmother had told her, and she wanted to use the goddess’s hunting to find her mother.
When Mary got a bit older, around ten, Mary believed that she and her father would travel the world and get into numerous adventures, but always escape with a smile and a laugh. She always loved people and traveling, and she wanted nothing more than to just explore the globe with the one constant in her life.
