Ever since his escape from the demon world, Vergil had to take to take to a life in the shadows to avoid the flow of demon bounty hunters that would occasionally try to track him down. Even with Mundus gone, his generals still remained and they sought revenge despite Dante being the one who had killed him. They saw it as an act to honor their late king by finishing his business with Vergil, and without his Yamato, he was slightly vulnerable but his self-forged Kikui blade would be a suitable replacement until the day he'd reclaim his weapon and it didn’t make him any less powerful.

It had been quite the difficult road without it, but he was lucky to have made it this far without it. Despite his confidence, he knew eventually his days would become numbered if he was without the Yamato for a few more years. For now, he spent his days traveling place to place in hopes of finding out where his trusted Yamato was. Soon the hunters would give up, it was just the matter of weathering the storm until the hunt for him was laid to rest.

As he made his way down the road that exited Capulet city, he found no helpful information here and he wanted to find some trustworthy information while he still had time. As he took his leave, the sound of footsteps behind him caught his attention. With his cloak on covering his identity, he looked over his shoulder. This person felt familiar to him but at the same time didn’t it was strange.

The Bloody Path Of Vengeance

It happened again, just as it did when he was a child. Life seemed so wonderful and then in a flash, everything comes CRASHING DOWN quicker than anything else. It was bad enough he lost his entire family to some random daemons. And now when life seemed to slowly be starting to pick up for him, once again it all goes up in flames quicker than anything good in life. It was sad how life worked this way, except this time there was a big difference. Vergil wasn't some FRAIL child anymore. He was strong -- he was powerful and he knew it. It was all thanks to Master Shisuei. Not only did he help him become a better swordsman, but he even managed to help him control his demonic powers which gave his sword skills and DEADLY EDGE. Being a Mercenary also helped his abilities blossom, it gave him the ability to kill with ease -- without R E M O R S E, especially for those who deserved it. And the Abby deserved EVERYTHING that was coming their way --  and a H E L L S T O R M was heading directly for them.

He would let Velvet take care of Artorious, he was her target and she had every right to kill him with her own hands. He didn’t know why, but he knew there was a reason for it. Vergil on the other hand just wanted every single member of The Abby to die, but he at least wanted to kill the one who killed his master. Regardless, if they would be slain, he would be able to move on. With the clean and quick escape from Titania, here they were now sailing away on a ship they had found. There was a terrible storm happening right now, but thankfully it was smooth sailing so far for them. Vergil would have to grow used to being part of a team, but as long as no one got in his way, he had no problem with it.

Staring out into the black sea with his arms crossed and his sheathed sword in his hand he continued to stare out and let his thoughts wander, there would be a lot of things to come, several things that would try to prevent the fall of The Abby, but Vergil would stop at NOTHING to completely annihilate The Abby in the name of Vengeance for the death of his beloved Master Shisuei. As he continued to look on, he heard footsteps approaching behind him.

It was Velvet Crowe, he didn’t know much about her since he had just recently joined her on this quest aolng with the other two. All he knew about Velvet was that she would also do anything to acquire her revenge.

A Chance Encounter|Closed|

Here he was again in the city before everything all started. It had been a long time since he had last set foot in the city of Fortuna. A lot had changed since then. One of the first things Vergil noticed was that the statue that resembled his father that was being built wasn’t here anymore and the city seemed to be in the moderate stages of repair and reconstruction. He would have been clueless about what happened here if he didn’t talk to that information broker in the last smaller town he was in. So thanks to him, he was up to date with the events that had taken place here. Ever since his escape from the underworld, Vergil had only one goal in mind; To reclaim the Yamato. 

The demon clad in blue felt a little incomplete without his signature Yamato with him. In order to fill the void of his missing blade, Vergil had spent months learning the art of Blacksmithing. With his newly honed skill, Vergil had forged a blade almost like his Yamato. Because he crafted the blade himself (And him being part demon) it had almost all the same traits the Yamato had. He called it the Kokuei. It wasn’t his original blade and had some minor limitations, but it would do for now -- regardless he would still stop at NOTHING to get his prized blade back in his own rightful hands.

Although Vergil had been brought up to speed, he wasn’t able to find out where the Yamato was. The informant had only told him what happened and who stopped the threat of the feeble man that was once called the Savior. Vergil knew the described man in red was no doubt his younger brother Dante, he was also told there was a younger man with him --  a teenager with an odd arm but that was all he knew about that. He didn’t have the slightest clue who the young man was.

But deep down inside he had a hunch to whom it may be. 

Picking up the presence of demons, Vergil prepared for battle. As he looked on ahead he saw someone running away from the group of demons -- It was a young woman. Seeing that she was clearly in high distress, Vergil knew he had to step in, he couldn’t let that poor woman die. Escaping a sigh, Vergil teleported appearing in front of her. 

[{ ☠ }] - “Stand aside and stay there. I’ll deal with them..” He says looking over his shoulder at the woman before returning his attention back to the oncoming demons.

He pushed up his blade with his thumb and prepared to strike. Even if he didn’t have the Yamato, Vergil wasn’t going to let that hold him back. His self-crafted Kokuei blade was a good enough substitute until he would get his actual sword back. Once the attacking demons made their moves, Vergil made his as well, one went for an upward strike with its claw. Vergil leaned back evading the strike then swung his arm cutting the demon clean in half, the next one jumped at him so Vergil jumped back letting the demon hit the ground and when it did -- he followed up with a downward cut splitting the enemy in half down the middle. There was three left.

Vergil ran at the charging demon and jumped up using the demons head as a stepping stone then lunged at the last two while he conjured up several blue Phantom Blades letting them rain down on the demon behind him killing it. While mid-air Vergil dashed between the remaining two with inhuman speed, leaving normal people to only see fast-moving shades of blue when utilizing his speed. Still in air, Vergil twisted his body unleashing a powerful kick sending that demon back a few yards to its death while he swung his sword cutting off the final demons head clean off. Once Vergil’s feet hit the ground he turned to face the woman but didn’t sheath his blade yet. As he walked towards her, one more demon appeared and went for a back attack but Vergil was well aware and ducked getting low sweeping his foot tripping the demon before finally driving his sword’s tip right through the demon. Pulling it out, he sheathed his blade and continued towards the woman before stopping in front of her.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO WRITE WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?:

I don’t have any boundaries when it comes to shipping. give me fluff, give me angst, give me those special moments that make you go “Awe that’s cute af!” 

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?:

Well, obviously any muse under 13 with some that’s like 30. That’s just messed lol.

Anything past 12 years I guess. Any more than that and it’s a little weird, just a little.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?:

Moderately yeah, but it's not because I don’t wanna ship. I’ll tell you right now I’m 100% Shipping trash. lol 

It’s just because Vergil is stubborn and is very independent and can just be hard to get to open up to anyone because he prioritizes his goals before anything and refuses to let himself get attached because he has the risk of losing them which tends to set him back. It’s not impossible, shipping is always possible, it just takes a bit for Vergil to open up to anyone.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?:

Well, I do write smut, but only when it legit comes down to the moment. I guess as soon as a make-out session gets extra EXTRA physical involving the tugging of clothes then yeah it’s immediately going into a read more. Anything involving touching certain areas through the clothes, immediate read more. I don’t always write smut tho, it really depends if I feel like it or not. But when it comes to smut, it’s not really a must or a necessity, If someone is more comfy with a fade-to-black then that’s totally fine. But if both parties are up for it, then sure by all means,  let’s get steamy. Of course, the other mun needs to be at least 16+ to 17 (Since 16 is the legal age of consent in Canada) But below that, Fade-To-Blacks only.

Like for example, I’ve really been wanting to try Vergil and Velvet Crowe from Tales Of Berseria. There are a bit more but honestly, I could go on about wish ships forever so that’s all I’ll say for now. Trust me, I won’t stop if I get started XD

Well even if I’m shipping trash, shipping in a romantic sense isn’t always necessary. If its more of a sibling/guardian type thing then that's fine too. 

But when it comes to ships, my love for it can be raised pretty easily. It mostly depends on the chemistry and interaction shown between the two. If the characters are just hands down super cute, chances are, I’ll be 110% on board and crazy for it. So it all depends on the chemistry and interactions. If I really like it, then hell yeah lets nerd over it together. Overall, I love me some ships!

Unfortunately, I don’t have a ship for Vergil within the DMC fandom currently ongoing. It’s a bit sad but, it’s just how it is atm. But I have one crossover ship I’m loving a lot.

It’s a ship with @arctxcstalkxr  

Because VergilxMizore is my jam rn. I even have a fanfic series based on it because I love it that much. It’s so awesome!

But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want a DMC ship with Vergil. Hopefully, that can happen at some point. So if any lucky DMC girl wants to ship with Vergil then come at me! I’ll be here screaming lol

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?:

Pretty simple really. Flirt with Vergil, Tease Vergil, pester him with hints. Create good chemistry and make him head over heels! Send in shippy memes, fluffy memes. Don’t hold back because Vergil is SUPER stubborn.

 I definitely encourage anyone who wants a ship with Vergil to just come at him! Because remember:  Good Chemistry = A Beautiful Ship!
