Before Amy takes over writing the Melody Malone novels, River encloses personal letters with each manuscript. She includes a return envelope with each one; the addresses are never the same.
Their girls' nights extend beyond Amy and Rory's backyard; though, that is one of the few places where River feels most comfortable. She enjoys showing her mum and friend the universe through food and drinks that she knows she'll enjoy.
River gifts both of her parents diaries. Time travel does make life a bit complicated, doesn't it? She lets them assume that they're from the Doctor. It's easier that way. The accompanying note is short and unsigned. Oh, she's sure that they recognise her hand writing, but it's too early in their time-streams for them to consider the truth.
In between dropping everyone off after Demon's Run, she stocks her parents' house with necessities and treats that will ensure they're okay in the short-term. Other than instructions to ensure her safety, she doesn't say anything when she drops Amy off.
