The words sat at the back of his throat. He knew she deserved an apology, but those didn't come easy to him. Well, it was more so that they were out of desperation. They were more of a grovel than they were an apology. To Severus, Lily deserved a real apology. One that was carefully thought out. One that, even if she never accepted and she simply turned away, Severus felt was worth the while.

It had been far too long between the incident and the present. He had wasted so much time trying to pretend that he had moved on passed all of this. Yet, he couldn't shake it. And so, he knocked on the door and waited. Even if she shut him out, he at least tried. And that was good enough for him.

It was a little awkward speaking with Lily. A friend of her cousin, a muggleborn in the tumultuous times. It was normal for Andromeda to not know what to do with herself during social situations. Everything was amplified with Lily.

She expected nothing less from Lily, as well. They had both arrived early and now Andromeda was seated across from her close cousin's good friend with a curled brown and forced smile. "The weather is," she attempted to break the silence as her words caused her voice to break, "lovely... Isn't it?"

The party seemed to float around her. She had gone because Ginny had asked her to go. These kinds of gatherings were never her thing. Much too chatter, noise and dancing for her liking. She'd had preferred a small gathering at a tavern or coffee shop, but the insistence on it being an event was out of her control.

So, Luna stayed with her fellow wallflowers tucked into the corner of the room. A smile danced on her lips. "Neville Longbottom. It has been a long time since we had gotten to chat."

The beginning of the fiscal year made his job more and more difficult. Investment banking was easy if you knew how to gamble. Blaise was one of those lucky few. Unfortunately, the people who employed him were not those lucky few. Ignored advice took a few years off of his life, especially when the client would turn their blame to him. He was tired. He was ready to go home. And his time at the bank was coming to a close. Of course, someone had to show up at the end of his shift.

A tuft of red hair was all he needed to know who this was. "How lovely... A Weasley to add onto this horrific day.," Blaise mumbled under his breath without a care if Ginny had heard him. "What is it that you need?"

Andromeda hated the bureaucracy that plagued every aspect of the Ministry. With the rise of tensions between the purebloods and those without the elite status, the amount of bizarre and horrible encounters have been ramping up at an obscene degree. As cases rose, St. Mungo's coffers were being bled dry.

The only thing she hated more was the incomprehensible layout of the Ministry. She had sworn she had turned the right way, but once she passed the same statue for the forth time, Andromeda felt defeat seep into her stomach and frustration start to pool at the corner of her eyes.
