There's a thunderstorm one night and Sherlock gets scared so he clings to John, hiding his face in his chest. Some other people might have laughed, but John just wraps his arms around Sherlock more tightly and whispers: "It's okay, I've got you, Sherlock."

Sherlock snuggling into John after a long day of running around London. John being surprised by Sherlock's assertiveness, but he just smiles softly at the detective as he wraps his arms around him. Sherlock sighs happily and closes his eyes, happy that he is with John, his anchor in life and his one true love.

John waking up in a cold sweat one night after having a dream about Afghanistan, shaking. He screams for Sherlock, but Sherlock is already next to him, awake, wrapping John up in Sherlock's blanket since he knows that the smell of him will help John calm down. John mumbles a thanks before laying back down, his heart still pounding loudly. Sherlock slides over to him and drapes his arm over to him, whispering: It's okay, John, I'm here, John. You're safe, John.

Sherlock waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, ashamed of himself for forgetting something that is very important to him. He rushes to the store at four in the morning and spends an hour at the store, desperate to find the perfect card. When he returns to the flat, he expects John to be sleeping, but instead, John is standing in the middle of the sitting room, arms crossed. Sherlock just blushes and holds up the card to him. "I...forgot..." he stammers. John takes the card from him, grinning, and kisses him on the lips before saying, "You know are anniversary isn't until next week, right?"

One day after a really long case, John tells Sherlock that he needs to take a nap before they do anything because he's exhausted. Sherlock says okay, not thinking anything of it, and decides to conduct an experiment while John naps. But John goes into the kitchen and asks Sherlock if he can sleep with him, since he's not exactly ready to be rid of him yet. Sherlock rolls his eyes but takes a nap with John anyways, since that's what his army doctor wanted.  And from then on, whenever John takes a nap, Sherlock cuddles with him, enjoying the safety of his arms.

Sherlock has a bad dream at least twice a month. On those nights, Sherlock wakes up sweating, and curls into a small ball in the corner of the bed because he thinks that bad dreams make him weak. John always wakes up when Sherlock has a bad dream (since Sherlock usually tosses and turns when he has one) and moves closer to him. John taps Sherlock's arm, silently telling Sherlock that it's okay, that he's there with him. Sherlock uncoils himself and buries his head into John's chest, reminding himself that he is safe since he is with John, and John would never let anything bad happen to him.

Holiday Headcanon #3

Sherlock waking up early on Christmas morning, expecting John to be right next to him. Instead, he sees an empty bed. He sits up, frowning. Right when he's about to call out to John, John walks in with a stack of pancakes covered in nutella and a pot of tea. John smiles at him widely and places the tray on Sherlock's lap. "Happy Christmas, love," John whispers, leaning forward and kissing Sherlock gently.

Holiday Johnlock #1

John getting Sherlock a red jumper with Rudolph on it because it's on sale and he thinks that it'll be funny to see Sherlock's facial expression when he opens it. Little does he know that Sherlock has an obsession with Santa's reindeer even though Sherlock knows that they're not real. So, when Sherlock sees the jumper, he puts it on immediately. After, he pecks John's lips over and over, mumbling: Thank you, John. I love you, John.
