Akechi is so tall but it's so easy to forget from how well poised he is. Never looms, just a impressive presence like a bill board. Larger than life. All eyes on it.

Easy to forget that he can snap a femur like a twig. Such strength serves him well as The Black Mask. He could crush Shido into paste, he wouldn't even mind the bodyguards riddling him with bullet holes immediately after, but he wants to completely topple Shido's empire.

So he contorts himself to fit the system to work toward his goal. Never lets the mask slip: all eyes, remember? But maybe someone special will come along.

Someone that neither fears nor worships him for is stature and status. He has no idea how to interact with him. Acting like they're rivals, on an equal playing field.

But Joker is still just a stepping stone in his goal. Insignificant like a bug, Akechi keeps telling himself. He's such a huge liar he even fools himself.

Also love the head canon that Akechi has fangs, he deserves them.
