Being aromantic while liking romantic media is like sitting in the greatest cuck chair of all time. A cuck throne, if you will. Guards! Make them kiss! 🫵 and leave me out of it
the nosebleed seats are the most comfortable cuck chair of all time

If asexuals have dragons can aros have sea monsters
hell yeah.
this thing↓ is an aromantic symbol now. i don't make the rules
Being Aroace and aplatonic but allofamilial is so funny like "this person is so cool I wanna be siblings" like. really?
"i like you. you're my found family now." kinda emotions
i do not like dating people
👍
Sometimes I feel bad for not wanting a qpr. No hate at all on these, I think they're fantastic. But I'm aro in a way that abhors even the idea of sharing my life with the one person and possibly being perceived as dating them. Qprs should never be a way for allos to "excuse" aromantism, but sometimes they are and it sucks. Anyway, just a reminder that you're not lesser or cold-hearted for not wanting a qpr either.
Stay safe out there.
(and thanks for your posts, aromanticofficial, you're great)
shoutout to the aros who are totally nonpartnering! not even queerplatonic!
summer sausage is really cool and we as aros should claim it
new pride flag for all aromantic sausageheads
NEED more people to start considering yandere media as a metaphor for aromanticism pls pls pls.
like, there’s one singular person who loves you in a deeper, more intimate way than anyone else ever has or ever will. you should be spending your whole life with this one person, because they will never leave you—because their love is deeper, which means it’s purer, which means it supersedes all others. you can’t fathom loving someone the way they do, but if you told them so, they would only keep pushing and tell you that you just didn’t understand. that you just had to try a little harder, and eventually you would learn.
and the best part of all this is that it’s *meant* to be terrifying. it’s one of the few tropes that genuinely portrays romance as a psychological horror, and the horror of it is the love itself!! you aren’t wrong for being unable to understand, *they’re* wrong for trying to push something on you that you can’t return.
this may not make sense but i needed to get my thoughts out bc this has been in my head for a while now </3
where's that post that's like "romance as horror" i know it's been reblogged on here at least twice
anyone else like romance in fiction (and i guess irl too) but specifically only for the build up of the relationship? ive found that i only really care about ships when theyre not really anything solidified and the moment they officially get together in a romantic relationship its just like... nothing and i dont really care about it anymore.
idk if this is an aro thing or just like a preference for the tension or whatever but yeah. anyone else?
schroedinger's ships really are the most compelling huh
