I call this meeting of the Persona 5 Phanclub to order. Last time: some writer at Atlus ticked off the maid and teacher fanservice. This time: hopefully something else.

Era’s Anime Corner - Junji Ito Collection (Episode 9)

Welcome back to Junji Ito’s House of Spooks. This morning, I hit random on dictionary.com three times and came up with ‘Painting’, ‘Vampire’ and ‘Garden’. How will these be involved in today’s episode? Let’s find out.

Moral of the first story: Don’t be an asshole to artists who agree to paint you for free. In fact, even if you were paying for your portrait, don’t laugh at the guys freaking face because you don’t like it!

Onto the second story and this couple is surprisingly chill considering they were just attacked by vampire children.

Sorry, no screenshots of this one ‘cus that actually freaked me out. The same thing happened with the crossroads fortune telling story a few episodes ago. Neck stuff must be my weakness when it comes to gore.

In any case, some good body horror and plenty of weirdness. That’s Junji Ito right there.
