those novels that are all like “oh nooooo u can’t level up in this game’s universe” are so stupid. no true gamer would think that way. true gamers would explain the problem as “the exp req to get to level 2 in this one game is fucking INSANE”
together misao mondo and dio brando could take over TWO worlds
caught my baby on camera yawning
now listen i must preface this by saying i have never played katamari damacy. however, one day, i woke up at 3am from a multi-hour headache-induced nap, wrote down katamari damacy in my notes, and then went back to sleep
all i want to watch, is even numbers of spaceships blasting each other with space lasers. just fill my screen with space lasers, and call it a day.
remember folks, if writing self-indulgent mary sue fanfiction for yourself doesn’t happen, you can always write it as your BLORBOS would write it@!!!!!
my warp ring macro for those of you who are also lazy AF
ok so first, use - to open the main menu.
hit the left or right arrow key to move to the other half of the main menu, then select the Macros category.
the Macros category should bring you to two options: "Edit Macro," and "Edit Equip. Set." For now, let's go to "Edit Equipment Set".
Edit Equipment Set should bring you to 20 blank gearsets, assuming that you're new, entitled Set001 to Set020. You may choose any of them you like. Personally, I chose Set 003 for my warp ring macro. (shown below: my blank gearsets 007-012)
mouse over your selected gear set and hit enter to select it. from there, you should be given the options to Edit the gear in the gearset, Change the Name of the gearset, Copy the gearset and its name, Paste the gearset is not allowed unless you've Copied a gearset first, Delete the gearset's gear and custom name, Use Current gearset which overwrites the equipment in the gearset with everything your character is currently wearing, Equip the gearset which overwrites your current gear with the gear in the gearset, and style lock, which I've heard is like glamour.
you should Change the Name of your chosen warp ring gearset so you know it's your warp ring gearset. however that information is to be conveyed is up to you. you can put it in whatever language or even hexadecimal for all i care. personally, i went with the gear set's number along with Warpring (all one word) because spaces aren't allowed.
Now, after Changing the Name of your warp ring gearset, press ESC once to exit out of that menu and return to the gearset's menu. Then you should select the button to Edit the gear in your gearset. You may place the Warp Ring in the left or right ring slot, whichever one you please, just as long as the gearset has a warp ring in it.
You don't need to click save, because once a piece of gear is selected in a gearset, it will stay there indefinitely. Now hit ESC a bunch of times to return to the main menu, go L or R to find the Macro menu button, and select Edit Macro.
If you're a new player, you should see 1-20 empty Macro Books out of 40 total Macro Books. You can choose any Book you like, it doesn't matter, just select any Macro Book and name it after the Job you are currently on. pictured below are Macro Books 1-4 titled: 1Warrior, 2Thief, 3Ninja, and 4Dragon.
Whichever one you choose, hit enter, and it should bring up the full Macro's Row 1, unless you've accidentally gone into this menu and use an UP or DOWN arrow key. You move to any page you like using the UP or DOWN arrow keys. Once you have chosen which macro shortcut you want to have become your Warp Ring Macro, use the arrow keys to go to that box and hit enter. Personally, I prefer ALT and 9 as my Warp Ring macro's location, which is the key i have selected in the screenshot below.
Once you have hit enter while highlighting your chosen Warp Ring Macro's location, you should find yourself at the Macro Editor menu. This menu should show a blank title box, along with 6 empty lines of space for macro text.
Select the empty Title Box to name your Warp Ring Macro. You can name your warp ring macro anything, but if capslock is used only 3 or 4 letters show up. If capslock is not used sometimes 5 or 6 letters show up. Beware that this name might not fully show up.
Once you have named your warp ring macro to your heart's content, hit enter, and the cursor should automatically move to the empty macro lines. Now, please remember what number gearset you had your warp ring set on. Because the entire warp ring macro can be these 3 lines (I used Gear set 3, so that is the number I will type. Feel free to change it to yours, though):
/equipset 3
/wait 10
/item "Warp Ring" <me>
End of warp ring macro. However, this was made in like my 2nd or 3rd week in the game, so nowadays I'd probably condense it into 2 lines like this:
/equipset 3 <wait 10>
/item "Warp Ring" <me>
Just make sure that, if you swap pages in your Macro Book, not to put anything particularly important in the same place on the bar. Otherwise, you'll be trying to cast, use a job ability, or trying to weapons skill but find yourself warping out in the middle of combat. However, should you find yourself fighting more enemies than you wanted, and you're taking a lot of damage, the warp ring macro can save you from having to grind that exp all over again.
You can also ESC out to the Macro Book, CTRL and F then hit enter to select Copy. Then you can ESC out of that Macro Book, change to another, and CTRL and F then Paste your Warp Ring Macro wherever you want. Put it on every single job if you want it's your macro books. Anyway, peace
