I hate Celebrity. I hate the way we follow the personal lives and purchases of people we do not know. I hate how we look to artists and business people who have expertise, experience, and demonstrate excellence in a single or handful of areas to guide us in morality, politics, or solving intractable issues. I miss the days of anonymous celebrities who were over-the-top in a fun way and reigned in a single domain, in this case the squared circle. #queviva #milmascaras (at Brooklyn, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/Br3JBoYlicN/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=hw28rdv0mbus
Every year on this day we honor our beautiful Virgen De Guadalupe. No matter what time Moses has to go to work or what time he gets off we figure out a time where we as a family go give thanks. There was a time where Moses was fighting for his life and his mom sat by his bedside praying to our blessed mother to bring him back to her and #ThankGod that she did because the world would’ve missed out on an amazing man. On December 9, 1531, Juan Diego, a Native American in Mexico who had been converted to Catholicism, saw an apparition of a beautiful lady dressed like an Aztec princess at the Hill of Tepeyac, near Mexico City. The lady spoke to Juan Diego in his native language, Nahuatl, The lady said “I, your mother, am here. You are under my shadow and protection? I am the fountain of your joy.” Juan Diego then realized that she was the Virgen Mary. She asked him to build a church in her honor on that site. O Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, grant to our homes the grace of loving and respecting life in its beginnings, with the same love with which you conceived in your womb the life of the Son of God. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair love, protect our families so that they may always be united and bless the upbringing of our children. Our hope, look upon us with pity, teach us to go continually to Jesus, and if we fall help us to rise again and return to him through the confession of our faults and our sins in the sacrament of penance, which gives peace to the soul. We beg you to grant us a great love of all the holy sacraments, which are, as it were, the signs that your Son left us on earth. Thus, Most Holy Mother, with the peace of God in our consciences, with our hearts free from evil and hatred, we will be able to bring to all others true joy and true peace, which come to us from your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns for ever and ever.
