oh hey there! long time no see. I just had to come back for a second to mention that I booked my trip to finland this summer. not for the kuumaa gig as I originally planned, but for a festival instead!! I’m really excited to go back to one of my favourite countries again, and also go to some concerts if I’m there!!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to apologize for not being super active on here. One of my closest friends was in an accident last week and I’ve been working to make sure everything is okay in her household (fortunately she doesn’t have any critical injuries). Everything should be settling down soon though.

Just wanted to tell you all that. I hope you’re all well.

2.5 years later! Hi again!

Hi friends! 

I came back on here because I remembered I shared Duas I wrote and I wanted to re-read them for these last ten days/nights of Ramadan.

So as a quick little update from the last time I was on here!

I graduated with my BA in American Sign Language Linguistics and Deaf Cultures, with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies in May 2020.

Then, July 2020, I married my incredible husband! 

(*so, random men in my inbox, please leave me alone. I’m not bothering to reply to those messages because they’re not worth my time.)

After I got married, we were living my in-laws for a bit Alhumdulillah. It was a great opportunity to create stronger bonds with my MIL and FIL <3 

January 2021, I started working remotely as a special education assistant for the district I grew up in! Then they went back in person in April, so my husband and I stayed with my parents until we could get our own place.

Then, in August 2021, I decided to quit my job and apply for grad school because my dream from when I was 13 of becoming a speech-language pathologist was still in my heart. I knew I needed to try to achieve it at least.

I was accepted into my dream program, Alhumdulillah! End of December 2021/January 2022, I started my MS in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology through the online Speech@Emerson program through Emerson College. #GoLions! 

Now, it’s Earth day -- April 22, 2022! We’re already in the last 10 days of Ramadan. Subhan’Allah. 

Idk if I'll start using this platform again, but it does feel a bit freeing to write again. 

May Allah accept all of our efforts, especially during this blessed month of Ramadan, Insha’Allah.

Hey everybody, sorry for not updating the fanfic...

So, quick update into my personal life instead as way of explanation

For various reasons I ACTUALLY got myself admitted into the hospital, I’m getting help, nobody worry about me, I have a solid support system of irl family and friends and we just gotta work some stuff out...

Right now I’m still in the hospital hospital waiting for a bed to open up in the mental hospital, and once that happens I don’t know how long I’m going to be there or if I’m going to have internet access

Don’t know what things are going to look like after I get out, either. I need some things to change in my life, but I don’t yet know what those changes are going to be. What I do know is that I love writing stuff and doing things and with any luck I’ll be able to keep doing it.

So, uh, yeah. That’s the deal.
