Personal talk under the cut- tw for mentions of irl death and grieving

It was so important for me to finish this today. It needed to be today. In this fic it’s been the 1 year anniversary of the decommissioning of half of the 2nds and 3rds. 

For me, my aunt passed away 10 years ago on this day.

It was such a turbulent time. It was sudden, we didn’t see it coming whatsoever, and there was over a week where we didn’t know if she’d make it, but today’s the day she officially passed. It wrecked my entire family, and I was just a teenager. I was grieving, but I was surrounded by loved ones who I’d never seen so wrecked before, and I didn’t know how to cope with it all. I just- went back to high school, as if nothing had changed, and didn’t get a chance to process my trauma till much later. As you can see, I really got a lot of those feelings out through Flash in this one.

Anyone who’s ever experienced something similar, I see you. I love you. It’s hard, I won’t pretend it’s not, it still hurts so so bad all these years later, the 10 year anniversary really hit me hard, but I promise you’re not alone if you felt seen or heard in this fic. This meant a lot to me. I’m still processing a lot of my trauma, but making this fic helped. Thank you guys so much for reading my stuff and encouraging me to write more. I love you <3
