He’s just this adorable puppy, who’s friendly to everyone and he just wants to do his job as best he can. And because he’s so nice and friendly, there are so many rumors going around about who he’s in love with. It’s both hilarious and sad.
Lily and Jessica thinks Linda and Claude are dating. Rick thinks Claude has a thing for his sister, and from what I remember from the Wild Season Wiki (before it was taken down for spoilers), there was something about Gavin also being jealous of Claude because of how close he is with Randy. So Gavin probably thinks Claude is trying to get with Randy. And this baby is just over here like “No, guys, they’re just my friends. There’s nothing going on between any of us, please stop.” And no one listens.
And I don’t know if things have changed, but at one point you could see who’s love rival everyone’s was, and I remember Claude and Linda were the only two who didn’t have a love rival. Again, I don’t know if that’s changed since then, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but if it’s still the same, then like, it’s just so funny cause he has no romantic interest in any of them, and yet everyone is like, probably arguing over who Claude’s “true love” is.
((I Swear to God, I bet Stephen has an underground betting pool on this. Like there’s a blackboard hidden in the back of the animal store, and on the back side there’s a bet going on over who Claude will end up with, and everyone besides Randy, Linda, Mary & Claude himself knows about it and has put in money over who it’ll be. Actually I think Linda knows, and she just scoffs at the idea of her and Claude ever being together...and then slyly places 50 bucks down on Randy.))
Jokes on everyone, because my MC is planning to Marry him, so that money’s going to me. That can be your wedding gifts to us ;P

Okay, so I just finished Episode one of Wild Season and first off, I want to say, I really enjoyed playing. There’s been so many improvements and the story is so intriguing and captivating, I can’t wait to find out what happens next. That being said there were quite a few bugs I found while playing the game. Most of them were small, nothing too bad, but I found a few major bugs and I’d like to bring them to attention.
(I’m putting this under a read more because it’s kinda lengthy but also because of spoilers for Episode one)
1) Where in the World is Claude Johnson?
Okay, so this one is a bit biased because he is my favorite bachelor, but I still think it is important being that there are other players who might want to pursue him as a marriage candidate and want to start building the relationship. There is a point in summer (specifically after you’re done interrogating villagers about Dr. Haze) where Claude just stops showing up. He usually comes around 10am on Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s. But for almost the entire summer except the beginning, he’s nowhere to be found. And it’s not that I just wasn’t looking in the right places, because trust me, I searched high and low for this man and I went to all the spots he told me he usually hangs out (The Underhill’s, The Animal Store, The Inn & the Square) and even places he didn’t say he was. Basically I searched everywhere. I would wait at the square 30 minutes before 10, because he always headed to the square first, but only Alice would show up, when it used to be both of them. And it wasn’t just me; in fact, it was my friend who first told me this because she likes Claude too and found no matter where she looked, she couldn’t find him. Maybe both our computers just glitched out, maybe the world just doesn’t want us to find the husbando, but I’m thinking this might be a glitch or a bug? Unless it’s supposed to be intentional. Unless he’s supposed to disappear for most of the summer. If that’s the case then there should be more conveyance to the player so they don’t bother trying to look for someone who isn’t there. He gave you his number, a simple “I’m going to be out of town this season” text would have been fine. Or maybe if you didn’t get the text because of shitty reception, someone should mention it in passing. But I’m guessing it’s not supposed to be intentional, so I was hoping you guys can take a look and see if you’re experiencing the same problem.
Also on top of that, after the Beach Day festival, Randy stops showing up as well. Like before, he’d be around town, but now he doesn’t come by the days he says he will. So I just thought that was something to look into as the two city-dwellers who constantly visit suddenly disappearing is a bit odd, especially when they don’t tell you anything (Unless they suffered the same fate as Dr. Haze DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN!!!) But me and my friend do think this is important as these characters are suppose to be accessible early on in the game so you can build their relationship up, and it’s hard to woo them if they’re not there to woo.
2) Accepting Request on the Bulletin Board doesn’t Work
Onto the next major issue, one that is very critical as it is your way of building relationships with characters. In the beginning when the bulletin board is put up, you can’t start any request (Which I get because the first week is spent interrogating villagers), but the week after I still found I couldn’t start any quest I had accepted (One reason being that a certain IT suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth). But Mary’s request was one of the first ones, and it took me until closer to the 20th to actually activate it. And it only activated after I was able to complete Will’s request. On top of that though, after I did all of Mary’s request, I could not claim my reward even after I delivered the omlette. The game glitched out and even though I redid delivering the omelette multiple times successfully, when i went back to talk to Mary, she responded in her regular greeting and I could not finish her request. Again, this is a very major glitch as the bulleting board is made to help strengthen your relationship with the characters, but you can’t do that if the game won’t allow you. The only request I was able to fully complete was Will’s. Mary’s would not let me finish hers, Claude and Randy’s I couldn’t do because they both were missing as of that point, and Diego? Well I never tried his, so his might have been fine. But definitely the bulletin board needs to be looked at. Also, every time Mary gave me a new step to do, I had to go back to the bulletin board and reclick on her request to start the next step. Not sure if you want it programmed that way, I think it would be easier to just grab the thing she needs and give it to her, instead of reclicking on her request again, but that’s just me.
3) Aren’t You Supposed To Be Avoiding Me?
So this one might be a bit of a smaller issue, but being that it is a part of the story, I do think it should be looked at. After this scene where Jessica tells you to not talk to her anymore, you can find her later in the game and when you talk to her, she acts like she didn’t just tell you to never see her again. I feel like either she should disappear altogether until you guys can patch up your relationship, or when you talk to her, she either responds in “…” or something like “Leave me alone/I don’t want you to talk to me/I told you to leave me alone”, kinda like how you can’t talk to Roselyn after first clicking on her.
Not only that, but during the firefly festival Will says this:
But we can clearly see Jessica standing right next to him. Again, being that this scene is to help further the story along, she should either disappear from the story until the next time you’re suppose to see her, or refuse to respond to you when you talk to her. But she should definitely not be at the Firefly festival this year.
4) I Wasn’t Talking to You
This happened mainly during the firefly festival. I would click on a character, expecting to get dialogue between them and the person next to them, but would suddenly get them talking to someone completely different. Like in the screenshots above, I went to talk to Misty and Brock a second time, and instead got this second dialogue between Mary and Barry, when the two were farther up on my farm. I didn’t take any other screenshots, but there were other moments (Like I went to talk to Stephen who was standing next to Edward, but got a conversation between Stephen and Roy when Roy was nowhere near him. This happened again with Maya and Ponco, when Ponco was much farther away from Maya and Maya was standing next to Gavin instead) like this. In fact, there are quite a few small issues during the actual festival (Not apart of the main storyline though) but those are much smaller and I’ll mention them in a different post.
5) But this is your House Darius?
This dialogue played the day after when we broke into Dr. Haze’s house, but this dialogue should have only played during the actual event. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Usually after an event or something, the next day, the dialogue will still play out like it’s the event or holiday. I know that after I was finished investigating about Dr. Haze and got publicly shamed, I had to wait an extra day because when I talked to people, it would be like I was interrogating them again, even though the event had already passed. Same with after the firefly festival and I talked to Will. He still asked me to please talk to Jessica, even though that was his dialogue during the festival. It usually takes the following day for the characters to go back to their usual greeting.
Moving on to my last bug that I can really remember.
6) That’s...not a sheep? Right? Is it?
I worked hard to earn enough money to buy a sheep, and when I finally had enough, I bought one, but I ended up getting this thing. Not only did it never turn around once, never showing me it’s face. It didn’t move when I pushed it, it didn’t respond when I walked up to it and touched it. And when I worked to get the brush (seriously though, why does a brush cost more than a damn Chicken?) I couldn’t tell if the brush was working. Yes I made the action for it, but the animal never responded to it. So to be honest, it’s hard to tell if I really bought a sheep or not, because I never saw it’s face, I couldn’t move it, talk to it or brush it...and just from the back, something looks a bit off about it (maybe because it doesn’t have it’s wool yet). I ended up selling it, cause I just didn’t know what to do, and at the moment it didn’t seem like it was helping me. I’m just wondering, have you guys added it in so you can raise and take care of sheep? Was I too impatient, should I have waited a little more? Why did it never look at me?
((These are the more major issues I saw. Please feel free to respond and answer if anything I said was incorrect and that you specifically implemented it so the game would play out that way. I look forward to playing Episode 2 and again, I thank you for all your hard work guys : ). Even with the few bugs I experienced, I still had a great time, and I can see that you guys will only go up from here. I plan to make another post on much more smaller, not as critical bugs I saw. But for now, these are just the more frustrating that I found.
Oh and one more question? I bought this game early, and got the Rocket laucher, but I was never able to find it? Is there a certain point where I’m supposed to find it, or am I just not looking in the right place? I don’t care either way if I get it or not, I was just wondering))
