#me finishing my first draft of my first paper in grad school#quickly celebrating#gaining some hp#then moving on the next one#do you guys know about the Scorer's number for atmospheric lee waves???#because I do and I get fuck all because of it#some of the ocean stuff was cool#we were using fucking satellites from google earth to measure waves at the BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN#like bitch you got a few bits of water in between there#scientists were legit like tripping balls on google maps and were like#ThIs SoLvEs EvErYtHiNg!!!!!?????#no bitch#no it doesn't#it isn't a huge detriment to our knowledge#but ocean mixing will become of greater concern when the polar ice caps melt more#so understanding how it's getting circulated is becoming super important#luckily smart people are on the job#and then there's schmucks like me bitching about just writing about their stuff#they did good work#geophysical#american geophysical union#good for them#civil shit#engineering#water
