“Are Those Binoculars?” Taken with an Apple QuickTake 200 and edited with Adobe Photoshop 5.5 on an Apple PowerBook 1400c in 2021.
Apple QuickTake 150 (released in May, 1995 - manf. by Kodak/Chinon) with Tiffen Wide-Angle Lens attachment. This is one of the primary cameras I’ll be using to upload all the Apple QuickTake photos from! The camera appears as though it’s floating but is actually sitting on the ledge and was taken with an iPhone Xs on April 3rd, 2021.
First nice image captured with the Apple QuickTake 150 sometime around 7:28PM on the evening of April, 3rd 2021.
It took me four years to pull photographs from the Apple QuickTake 200, a 24 year old digital camera, which is profiled as “the first consumer digital camera” of its kind. Photos output at 640×480/320x240 pixels and 0.3 megapixels, which (I believe) is the lowest megapixel camera to exist. Taking a photo is instant at shutter press, but you have to wait 4-5secs in-between takes. It’s nothing like the iPhone, yet I’m impressed that it still works! How the image is crunched, pixelated and badly exposed creates a “past” feeling.
