I Can See the End, The Middle Is Fogged In
We are told that i we keep our goal in mind we can bend the Universe to our way of thinking and achieve our desired ending. The Secret made someone a fortune as people bought the book and set their minds to clearly activating their desires. Now, if a is car going west, (on a busy road) and a car is going south On the same road) and both are traveling at a speed which will bring them to the center of the intersection at the same time: and BOTH drivers are bending space and time for a green light, can the smash-up be avoided? Not to make Lemons from their Lemonade, but think about it. Only one person can get the job, only one person will win this year’s Publisher’s Clearinghouse Fortune. Sheer desire, sheer need, sheer meditation will NOT guarantee that I will get any of them.
I can see that I need to have more money. I then have to clarify what I need to do to get there. One way might be to work another job. (exhausting, but done by millions everyday in this country) I could go to a company that fixes up our debts to a more manageable amount (thus free up my credit score) I could ruthlessly go through my budget and slash out the things that really are “wants” not “Needs”. ( can give up my two lattes a day, and pack lunch to save the $400 for the plane ticket, I want more. etc) That is easy, finding True Love is harder. First you have to love yourself. Now loving yourself does not mean you become a “Me First and Only” person. It does mean you have to destroy the “You are not worthy, etc.” tapes you run in your head as internal dialog. No more “What a Loser” only seeing and concentrating, nurturing and growing the stuff you can like and admire.
Then, you have to get out of the place you are living. Put down the phone/electronic media umbilical chords you carry. Go volunteer to do good somewhere, from the dog shelter, to the hospital, to the homeless service providers. Roll up your sleeves and change th world. (OK maybe not the whole world, but the whole world for somebody or something) Meditate on on how wonderful it is to be able to do things for others, and lo and behold you shall be doing them for yourselves. Adopt a pet from a shelter. My granddaughter loves her rat, my friends love their dogs, cats, ferrets, one even has an affectionate tarantula! A happy well loved pet can give us unconditional love. (my dog is glad to see me, even if I am hours late. [maybe more glad than if I had been on time] My beloved, dinner a charred mess, is less likely to have that attitude) Dont be afraid to dream high peaks of achievement. Just gear up for the climb.
