Hi everyone! Unfortunately we find ourselves having to make this post to let you all know that after 8 years of friendship and fun the Norwich Nifflers Quidditch Team is closing ranks due to increasingly depleting membership over the past few years. We want to take this moment to thank all players past and present who came to our practices and socials, especially those who set up the team initially, to the committee members who have run the team over the years, and to those who have stuck with us until the bitter end, playing for us and supporting us. All of us have made lasting friendships that will continue, and some of us have even met our significant others through this team. We’ve had tournaments (where we’ve even won a few games), Yule Balls, beach quidditch in Cromer, quizzes and Harry Potter themed club nights. There’s been a lot of duct tape and hope, a lot of dogs running onto the pitch and a lot of laughter! The Norwich Nifflers means a lot to all of us and we will be sorry to see it go, but it seems the time has come. We encourage everyone in the Norfolk area to check out the nearest quidditch team to the Nifflers, Cambridge, if you’re interested in pursuing the sport. Thanks to everyone for making the past 8 years with the Norwich Nifflers truly magical. #NifflersGonnaNiff
