Bed Friend is about two work colleagues.
Uea is a graphics designer, and is trying very hard to escape an extremely traumatic family situation (his mother physically and psychologically tortured him as a child for being gay, and his step-father has been trying to molest him pretty much his entire life). Uea carries extreme trauma and PTSD, and is drowning, but he hides it all from his best friend, colleague, and former college roommate Jade.
Jade's other best friend is King, who he has been close with since they were 5 years old. King also works at the company, but he works in web traffic and ... idk computer stuff. He isn't a graphic designer like Jade and Uea.
King is a prolific slut, which makes the sexually conservative Uea hate him. King is a loud and proud bisexual who changes sexual partners almost daily, and has endless charm.
One day, at an office party, Uea gets extremely drunk and ends up going home with King. They have unprotected sex, and Uea is disgusted and horrified when he wakes up. King apologizes endlessly to Uea, and takes him to a clinic where they both get tested for STDs/STIs.
Even with the shame and fear, Uea cannot deny that the sex was amazing, and he is desperate to escape his trauma and his life. King proposes- and Uea agrees to- a friends-with-benefits arrangement... with a few rules: King ALWAYS has to wear a condom, they have sex only three times a week, and King cannot take another partner the entire time he's with Uea.
They also swear to keep the arrangement a secret, because both are worried about how Jade would react (Jade ships them hard and would get too excited).
King has had his eyes on Uea for a long time, and never felt the animosity for Uea that Uea has shown him. King is determined to prove to Uea that he's a good person, and be someone Uea can rely on, trust, and maybe even love.
For Uea, it's a story about sexual exploration, growth, and learning how to face the traumas of his past to protect his future. And Uea, who has stood alone ever since he was a child, will have to learn to lean on his friends and let them help shoulder some of his burdens.
