Victor was in his office, things were going to plan. He had found Grace and now all that was left to do was get her here. He put that job on himself and was getting ready to go out and track her down but he heard a knock on the door. He sighed to himself. "Come in and make it quick." The man was impatient. He was getting so close to what they needed for Elpis and he could practically taste it. "What is it?" He asked once his eyes landed on who entered.

❝   I   think   it   goes   without   saying   that   the   aggression   towards   defense   attorneys   is   growing   and   has   reached   its   peak.   Thinking   back   twenty   years,   I   do   not   remember   receiving   quite   as   much   hatred   —   be   it   verbal   or   virtual   —   as   I   do   these   days.   It   is…   troubling   to   say   the   least.   People   do   not   understand   the   justice   system   unless   they   get   involved   and   educated   about   it.   Especially   family   members   of   supposed   victims   have   become   a   lot   more   physical   if   they   don't   get   their   way.   

Grief   will   always   drive   people   over   the   edge   but   I   think   there   will   be   a   point   in   time   where   we   need   new   laws   that   protect   us   doing   our   work   and   being   private   people   outside   our   work.   I've   seen   a   lot   of   colleagues   quit   out   of   fear   for   their   families   and   the   system   does   nothing   at   all.   As   an   attorney   seeing   and   noticing   where   the   system   fails   you   isn't   just   adding   to   my   bank   account   all   the   time…   ❞
