Fights (Quill Reader)
I thought you loved me. I don’t need you anymore. I hate you. You’re a disappointment. I’m going to keep you safe with me. It’s lonely here without you.
“Y/n,” you muttered a curse at your father’s voice, “don’t even think about it.” You admittedly took off the mask to keep you safe if you went outside of the ship. “I can handle it. I know what to do.” You stated. “Doesn’t matter, I don’t want you going out there. It’s not safe. No matter what.” You huffed and rolled your eyes as you handed him the mask. “We’re not talking about it! You are not going on any mission.” He demanded before you even suggested it. “Why not? I lived most of my life without you and five years by myself, I know how to take care of myself.” You argued. “You are going to stay on this ship and be safe.” Peter argued. You sighed and huffed before thinking of something to say back to him.
The rest of the guardians left before you remembered how you got found by your father.
You sniffed as you sat in front of your mother’s grave. “It’s lonely here without you, Mommy.” You whispered. “I don’t like being here without you. It’s scary. I want you back; please Mommy, come back.” You whispered to the grave. You then heard people talking. You scrambled behind your mother’s grave and carefully watched the group that involved a raccoon, a tree, a strange man-looking creature, a green woman, and a man. The man looked directly at you and shyly waved, the green woman scolded him. You shyly waved back and took a few tiny steps out from behind the grave. The man took many steps closer to you, only a few feet away from you. “Hi little girl. What are you doing here?” The man asked. “Seeing m-my mother,” you stuttered. “I know the feeling.” The man replied. “Peter, doesn’t she look similar?” The green woman asked. The other members of the group looked at each other with confusion. There was some muttering going about the members of the group. Then the man, the man called Peter, looked at you. “Come on, I’m going to keep you safe with me.” *End of Flashback*
You went to the nearest window of the ship. You saw the guardians getting attacked. “Let me or not, I am going to do this.” You told your father, weather or not he could hear you. You grabbed the mask that was previously in your hands then quickly searched for the weapons that you knew how to use. You escaped the ship and heard yelling from mostly your father as your shot the horrible monstrous-creatures. With the tiny part of your help, the creatures were killed.
You smiled and smirked as you got back on the ship, full of pride. “See Dad! I don’t need you anymore to protect me!” You announced, your mind not thinking before your tongue got to speaking. “You’re a disappointment by doing that, Y/n! You could have died! I’m not putting that on my conscience! I told you to stay on the ship and to be safe! I tell you this all the time, you never listen! That is the last time you will ever do something stupid like that!” Peter yelled at you. Your lip trembled. You thought what you did was amazing. You looked at the other faces on the ship that gave off mixed emotions. You scoffed. “You know what’s funny. I thought you actually loved me up until now. If you let me go and do stuff that doesn’t involve being on the ship or only getting off on safe planets, I wouldn’t hate you.” You straight up said to him. You started to head off to your room when you paused then spoke, “You know what, I wish you and Mom never fucked that one night and if you still did, I wish I would be with her, not you. You’re a disappointment as a father!” You cried and stomp to your door, slamming it shut.
“Peter I’m sure sh-” “Just save it Gamora. Let her think whatever way she want to” He stated before walking away from the rest of them. The rest of the team looked at each other, wondering the same thing, but not knowing how to answer or fix it.
You didn’t leave your bedroom until you knew it was Rocket’s turn to drive the ship as Peter slept. You crept out of bed and wandered to the front of the ship, sitting in one of the passenger seats. “You knw, just because your father doesn’t want you leaving this ship or not wanting to help us doesn’t mean he hates you.” Rocket stated. “You know, I came up here not to be lectured about today, Rocket.” You stated and rolled your eyes. “Well, I’m just going to tell you anyways. You need to hear it, and I won’t sugar coat it for you like the others. You both are too stubborn for each other and you both need to give in on shit that you two argue about. I’m not picking sides, I’m saying neither of you are fully right or wrong.” Rocket explained. “I already have dealt and argued with Peter enough. I’m going to pass on the word to you. You don’t want to become like me and have the whole team hate you because you’re stubborn and you want more than you bargained for and yell at everyone for doing shit that they did to show that they care for you.” He added as you stayed silent, arms crossed. “You’re not doing the same shit I have done before and I’m not going to stand there and watch your father and you argue to death or until one of you stops talking to the other like today.” Rocket kept going. You hadn’t realized that Peter was standing at the entrance, eyes still red from crying and not being able to sleep. “Now go hug each other before you argue and decide on something else stupid to fight about.” The raccoon stated and amazingly enough, the two of you obeyed.
