My first few weeks after having began my journey, it felt as if I wasn't going to be able to fight against these Fomors because I kept on getting hurt all the time. I had no idea how I was supposed to become this amazing Mage if I couldn't even manage against petty animals such as wolves or foxes. Those animals are fairly strong and I end up on the ground before I get the chance.
My friends Rintoko and Drych helped me a lot especially when I got upset that I wasn't helpful in our trio. I know knew about Bolt magic and while it was fun to charge up either Ice, Fire or Lightning, I wasn't keeping up with my enemies.
I had a dizzy spell one day and was reminded of something I had forgotten. I had already made friends with someone. She had told me about coming here and if I ever needed help, I could always ask her. Her name is Chemarose. Apparently she was somewhere else but traveled anywhere without much problems. She also traveled with her boyfriend who happened to be a Mage just like me. His name is Bamdead. The two of them helped me as well as my two friends I had made. Since he was also similar to me, he gave me lots of tips and gave me some wands too.
I also remembered that I had two whistles from Nao so I walked away from the wolves so they wouldn't attack me and sat down under a tree, searched my backpack until I found the two silver whistles. I got curious again so I blew on one of them and no sound came out. Was Nao tricking me?!
It took a few seconds and when I started to stand back up I saw an eagle swooping down at me till it landed gently upon the grassland. Apparently it had a little note on its ankle so I reached over and took it off.
"Hello master! I am your loyal pet eagle since you have called me to your aid. Why don't you give me a name and I will always come when you need me."
Huh, this was rather cool. I stared at my pet for the longest time and it occasionally walked around me.
"You shall be known as Windstorm01."
Windstorm cawed at me and nuzzled my cheek in a friendly manner to probably tell me she loved her name. I also blew on the other whistle but nothing happened so I asked Windstorm to return and she did. I tried again and within a few seconds, a beautiful horse galloped to me, neighing. It too had a note so I took it off and read it. I thought about a name.
"You shall be known as Quincy01."
My horse neighed happily and nuzzled me. She was so small just like my eagle but I loved them both. I now have pets to help me along on my journey.
Tir was a fun place to explore but I thought about where could I buy more supplies for the longer trips I would take. I took my time heading back into the square enjoying the amazing sights and sounds. I asked a couple of the townsfolk as to where I can buy things such as bandages, food, other assortments of weapons if needed. One of the ladies told me to visit Dilys, the town's Healer. I thanked her and went passed the Big Tree and I believe I saw more foxes.
Great. More animals to deal with. Whatever. I just have to get past them and her house should be a bit further from where they are.
I held onto my wand and made my way through the group of foxes and some I defeated that got in my way. This time I didn't get hurt as much. Hooray. I did a good job. Anyways as I kept walking, I saw someone standing on the road, wearing black knight armor. He seemed to be watching over the area so I felt more secure. I didn't see his face though.
I looked at a small wooden, worn down sign that stated the house before me was in fact Dilys's. I knocked on the door and when I had permission to walk in, I did. The little cottage felt cozy and very welcoming.
"Hello! Welcome, if you need anything feel free to ask me questions or if your pets are injured, I will gladly heal them for you."
Dilys was so kind to me that I did ask her some questions but for the most part she didn't know how to respond to what I had asked which was fine. I also bought several stacks of bandages and potions, especially Mana Potions. I would surely need these. I tucked my items away snuggly into my backpack, bowed a goodbye and left the Healer's house.
There were several quests to get done so I randomly chose one. Apparently this one stated it was a Goddess Quest. Okay... The first part mentioned I needed to talk to someone by the name of Tarlach. Lovely, how was I supposed to find him? I kept reading and it obviously told me where to go. I read the name of the location and it was beyond the Healer's house I had visited before. That wasn't too much trouble. I summoned Quincy, my horse, hopped on and we galloped passed Dilys's. The guy in black armor waved goodbye as we past, by then we slowed down into a trot as we got to a gate. I got down from my horse and took the reigns into my left hand as I guided her and myself through the mystic gate. It was a matter of seconds that we had safely crossed into the new area-- it was snowing!
Gosh! Apparently the place I was in is named Sidhe Sneachta. It was so pretty and I took time to gawk at everything as it was just too much to pass up, besides; I had to wait until nightfall in order to meet up with Tarlach. Quincy whinned at me and I petted her to keep her calm as I got back on. We simply trotted along the snowy path while I read my scroll again. There was rows of snowmen and a sign saying I needed to find something. I think it was an earring.
Anyway, we continued onward and I started shivering so while Quincy trotted, I searched my backpack for my robe and put it on. That was much better. I was silly enough to think that without wearing a robe, I would get far. We came across yet another mystic gate so I got down, guided her through and continued on again. Anytime I tried to look up, flurries of snow would gently brush against my face. It was also fairly quiet but I enjoyed the calmness. Eventually we made it and just as we neared him, Quincy got scared and I nearly fell off!
"What's the matter, girl?!"
She whinnied and from what I could gather, up ahead was something potentially dangerous. We decided to slowly head to the end of the pathway since that's all the map showed me. We finally made it and from what I could make out from the constant snow, there was a big shape and it seemed to have glowing eyes. I bite my lip as I made Quincy continue on even though I was scared too. I got down for the final time and told her to leave, which she did. I held onto my hood while I made my way towards the glowing eyes. Anything could happen and I was ready to defend myself when... When it suddenly stood up as the night became full and in a flash, a new figure stood in its place!
"W-what the..."
I couldn't understand what happened just now but from the looks of it, a young boy stood where the previous shape was.
"Are...you... by any chance... Tarlach?"
He didn't seem to acknowledge me at the time as I approached him since he seemed to be focused on something else. He had medium length hair, colored blonde, slightly ruffled and wore a long tanned robe that covered his body which was accompanied by a pair of squared spectacles. He didn't seem that much older than I was and to be honest, he appeared to be quite serious... I asked again if he was Tarlach but I was interrupted.
"My name is Tarlach, yes. Why have you come here? Are you the one who can help me find my friends?"
His blue eyes were fixated upon me with an arched brow. He seemed to be studying me over as I scrambled to come up with something to say.
"I, uh, sure?" I laughed nervously while coughing due to realizing it was snowing and my body was getting heavier by the minute.
"I desperately need help in finding Ruairi and Mari as I want to apologize for leaving them behind..."
His form was stiff and unwavering from the chilly weather. He didn't know my name but knew who I was. A person who could potentially find his two best friends and I felt that I didn't want to let him down so I agreed to help him out even though he wanted to reward me for accepting such a task. Tarlach described Ruairi and Mari for me and I listened intently. His words sounded very lonely and I wouldn't blame him.
"Tarlach, can I ask you as to what happened that lead to your separation?"
He shifted his posture, crossing his arms as he thought as to how things went.
"We were trying to prevent something and thought we were able to handle it on our own. It was evident that we failed miserably, thus having the goddesses separating us. We thought we reached Tir Na Nog but alas that wasn't true..."
He rubbed his templed with a heavy sigh while I tried to gather all of what he was saying but there was plenty that was missing.
"I want you to find Tir Na Nog, stop the Fomors from causing another deadly war, and of course find my friends to tell them I'm sorry."
"How can I even FIND this place? It sounds like a place that isn't found around here. The Fomors? Nao told me about them but never explained what they are or what their intentions are."
I quirked a brow as I slowly placed to and fro while Tarlach simple stared at me.
"I wont let you down, Tarlach! I will do my best to find Ruairi and Mari AND stop a war even if it costs me my life."
