You're free to use Quilt as a modifier for genderquilts that are centered around specific genders/identities -for example quiltboy, quiltfae, quiltneutrois, etc.- if you dont want to use an umbrella term like quiltmasc, or quiltfem, or quiltenby...
or modify with it to mean a specific gender/identity that fits the quiltgender meaning more instead! for example, quiltgirl: someone wrapped up warm in the peaceful cosiness of knowing they are a girl.
i may coin more terms like this in future, atleast for other neat alignment systems?this is my first time coining genders so if anything seems funky, please send an ask and ill look into it! TY for reading! 💫

So sew
I’ve been in a sewing mood (which, given that it’s garden and berry season, is bad). Today was too rainy for the things I should do outside, and I ended up:
1) finishing basting the back of a quilt to the top, a project that has been sitting undone for over a year
2) cut some blue gingham fabric I just bought for a cute summer dress for my daughter and started to piece it together and
3) opened a side seam on a pair of heavy duty work pants that my son’s gf bought. They are men’s pants, (if there are women’s work pants, they are not sold around here) and ended up being far too tight in the hip. I’m going to use them as a ‘challenge project’ and, whether it works out or not, take pix to show you guys how it goes.
Ginghams and plaids are so, so tricky. Getting the pattern to match up from one piece to the next and be symmetrical right-to-left is h-a-r-d. But I had a picture of blue gingham in my mind and had to try it!
July 1, 2021
I decided I’m going to make a quilt for my best friend’s wedding anniversary. I can’t share it anywhere else on social media without her seeing it, but I’m so excited about it I just have to share it with someone!
What do you guys think of it?
I love when people donate such sweet and cheerful fabrics.
