First few stitches on the new ufo themed quilt - with the glow in the dark thread!
Ignore my messy chalk lines, lol.
Got the second to last row done last night. I have some housework to do this afternoon but hopefully I can get the last row quilted today.
I got another couple of rows of quilting done this evening. I got off to a spluttering start when I discovered the patch with the red heart still had its paper inside it. I decided to leave it in initially but it kept making a noise every time I moved the quilt. It annoyed me so I decided to unpick what I had stitched and remove the paper. Thankfully it went well and the paper was removed and I was able to keep stitching to the end of the row. We are having quite a hot summer so progress is slow and only happens when I can sit with the door to the deck open and there is a cool breeze happening.
Deciding which quilt to tackle next, what do y'all think? Moth and Moons -or- UFOs abducting cows?
Waiting to post pics of the finished owl quilt until it arrives safely to its new home, as I know it was for a birthday gift and I don't want anything leaked early to ruin any potential surprises.
Overall excited to start pre-washing some fabric and getting back into some hand quilting with one of these guys soon!
Just need to add the binding after my daughter goes to bed and then my second quilt is complete 😁
my latest sewing project. I decided I wanted to make an Irish chain quilt for our bed! We have a California king so I’ll be cutting fabric for a while 😆
