I've been away visiting friends and family this week, so haven't had much time for sewing. But today, I finally have time to play with quilt blocks again!

After moving them around a little more, I think I've finally arrived at a block placement I'm happy with!

Now, I'm looking forward to finally assembling my Old Town quilt top!

After a little more piecing, I've finally finished the sashing strips!

And with everything pieced, I've been able to lay out all my blocks and sashing together to get an idea of the effect!

I'm not sure of the layout just yet—I'll likely be playing around with block placement for at least a few more days—but with everything pieced, I can finally get started on the new mystery quilt!

Some more progress on my Old Town sashing strips this week!

I've made it well into the pink strips, which leaves me with less than ten yet to piece!

But with a house showing scheduled for tomorrow, I've had to pack up my piecing for a time. Hopefully I'll be back to it soon!

Some more progress on Indigo Way as the weekend goes by!

I'm now up to nine completed B blocks with lots more left to make, and having a great time putting them together! It's so exciting to finally have enough of them to be laid out like this and see how the blocks speak to one another, making interesting and unexpected secondary designs!

Of course, when the quilt actually comes together, these blocks will be mixed in with the A blocks, so it won't turn out like this, but it's a fun option to consider!

I'm working slowly through my Old Town blocks and have finally passed the halfway point! I'm up to thirteen blocks and still having so much fun with all the different background prints!

I've only made one block in yellow so far, so I think I'll make another yellow one next!

While taking photos in the backyard, our neighbour came out with his dog, Duke, who is good friends with Meara!

The dogs had a lot of fun playing together and I asked them to not stand on the quilt blocks; Duke was very polite, but Meara didn't listen. After all, aren't all quilts made for puppies?
