Quinan is the 5th son and the youngest child in one of if not THE most prominent family in the Hunter's Guild. As I said previously, he's an anxious wet blanket who is never taken seriously by his family.
He's basically the runt of the family lol. He WANTS to be brave and make his family proud like his older brothers and sister, but a lot of the time when he tries he's too scared, questions the morals, or just fumbles the entire situation hence why nobody trusts him with anything or takes him seriously
He's actually kinda smart if you give him the chance to not be an anxious mess, but his social awkwardness and fear of rejection and fear of everything in general tends to get in the way. He really likes maps and learning about different species and their physiology, traits, and customs.
But he has moments where he'll impulsively do something brave or moral or throw himself into a situation just to prove his family wrong somehow
In fact, this is how he meets Rhykan and the gang! Because they're captured by Quinan's brothers and locked up in cells to be transported to the Markets in the morning, but Quinan shows up and sets them free and helps them escape because they're all his age and he wanted to do something right for once and he couldn't just sit by and do nothing. Rhykan offers for Quinan to join them and leave with them, knowing that Quin will face who knows what when his family finds out what happened, and with a little hesitation, Quin accepts and leaves with them that night.
