If you export as obj, you can import it into the GMDC in simPE
Wll this retain my multiple mesh groups with textures if I export it as obj in milkshape? (I figured I’d do the exporting in milkshape inside of blender) Or would the Unimesher plugin work for that?

First question would be which folder did you rename, the one in Documents or in Program Files. I'm sure you're aware it should've been the one in Program Files but it's a surprisingly easy slip to make when you're just ready to play. For myself, renaming has worked fine in recent years, but what I used to do was remove the corresponding files completely out of the way (actually, I'd zip and delete) so there'd be no chance for the game to read them.
I double checked, and it was indeed the one in program files. I have the UC though, so that may have tweaked things. I’ve read a few things with others having similar issues when playing the Ultimate Collection. I don’t have the heart to start all over again, so I’ll try simsurgery and hope for the best. Thank you for the suggestions, though! I’ll be sure to try it next time.
penig replied to your post “I know this is a long shot, because few people post to Livejournal...”
Quinndominion was complaining some months ago about a change to the coding that transformed punctuation marks into long strings of characters in the code, all of which counted for the character limit.
Thanks, @penig! I was using the visual editor (never really a great idea, but I’m a creature of habit) and when I switched to html it did show a whole bunch of extra junk characters there. Hopefully, switching to html editing will make enough of a difference.
quinndominion replied to your post : I know this is a long shot, because few people...
Oh yes. For every post the dreaded “error: client post too large”, or whatever it says, and I go at it. Mine have always pushed up against the hard limit but now I need to be a good 4000 chars under to be safe. It will occasionally post when closer to the limit but I won’t be able to edit, not even to take out words.
I’ve had issues with what you’re describing for a long time, too, @quinndominion. Even what you’re saying about editing something to take a word out and that triggering the “too large” error. It seems to have gotten way worse lately. Do you edit in visual or html mode?

Aw, Malcolm. I hope he wasn't just going up to them like: "hey, pretty lady, so I've got this legacy deal where I've got to find a wife pronto but, I mean, there's money involved, lots, so whaddya say?" Because from the responses it kind of sounds like he might have, lol.
That may not be exactly what he said (he’s not a complete doofus) but it’s pretty close. It was probably more like, “Hey, my name’s Malcolm. I think you’re cute. Do you want to go out with me? Right now? Please?” Yeah...He’s not going about this the right way at all. I think the time limit threw him for a loop and he’s convinced that if he doesn’t get a date right now he’s going to fail and lose everything.

omg, are they the fairly oddparents? Hilarious!
Bingo! With her name being Wanda, I couldn’t resist giving her pink hair. Then I just ran with it, haha.

I’m still hoping that Lainey will accept him... not necessarily lower her standards, but have more realistic expectations. These two have super high boltage as well, she really won’t get anyone better for her (boltage wise) in my game.
In time, I think Michael might do well in the police field too; he’s not a lawyer but she comes from a long line of officers, so he’s a good fit there too.

From quinndominion:
Ah, I take it you don't use Pescado's harderjobs then?
I did at one stage but I haven’t used it for a long time now. I use Job Stopinator when I don’t want my sims to be promoted. Josie was at the Specialist level for a few years though, so I was happy for her to be promoted to Surgeon. Seeing I still think of her as a GP, I think of the promotion as more of a pay rise that one might get for a certain amount of time put into the job. She’s my only GP but theoretically, a new GP would be paid less, because they’d still be at the GP level. I didn’t really love harderjobs, to be honest. I don’t really think it made jobs harder - just a bit more tedious. My sims were generally highly skilled enough to get promotions very quickly anyway, so harderjobs felt a bit artificial. Job Stopinator lets me control the pace of my sims’ careers on an individual level, which is really everything I want in a mod. If it lets me set things differently for individual sims, I’m usually all over it. ;) And sorry, still can’t do proper replies! It is an xkit issue, but seeing xkit won’t install for me any more and I can’t figure out why without submitting a help ticket (which I cannot be bothered doing, at least at the moment), these replies will have to suffice for now.
