Martha Wells is not handling canon poorly. People are unwilling to climb out of their preconceptions and read what's there. Lots of black-and-white thinking in the fandom since AS got cast, lots of mistaking maps for territories, lots of ungenerous rigid thinking. Wells makes no apologies for slavery and AS is a white man playing a bot/human construct which looks like something it's not and would look like something it's not regardless of who played it.

All I have to say is, go read the post this was left as a reply on.

As keeps being said, it's very clear that the only reason White Queer People hate JK Rowling is because she's open about hating White Queer People as well as Black and brown people.

They do not actually think she's a bad person for doing the racist Happy Slaves trope with the House Elves, because they don't actually have a problem with the trope, which is why they're fine when Martha Wells does the exact same thing, and then some.

And when you point this out they'll just.....defend whitewashing? For some reason? And pretending like criticizing racism means you're racist against white people.

Sometimes I can submit, and sometimes, I can't. Nothing I do makes type appear anywhere in the submit box. Any idea what makes it work sometimes and not others?

Also even when I can submit it thinks I'm submitting anonymously, and I'm not, at least not on purpose.

Oh that's bizarre! Unfortunately we have no control over how the submit box behaves. Your best bet is to file a bug with Tumblr support. Feel free to mention us in your bug report, too - we're happy to work with the support team if they need anything!

I have finally settled on a simple, yet chaotic, hood to play and post. I present to you, Widespot, by @penig

Many people have played and documented Widespot over the years. It is a beloved neighborhood, and one of the first populated ones to ever be shared with the community. Peni’s hood paved the way for other custom hoods, and I know it has been the inspiration for many.

Now it is my turn to finally play and explore Widespot. I don’t know why it took me so long, but what’s important is that I finally made it here. I do hope my gameplay and posts do the neighborhood and its residents justice. <3

Last time they met, Aziraphale was miserable, but he's in a good mood when Crowley runs into him in Rome. Crowley knows he should shut up and enjoy it, but this is not his strong suit.

The men carried out a series of long wooden tables and set them down in the middle of the square with a heavy thump. When each table was properly arranged, there was a sudden outburst of applause and raucous cheering. Crowley raised an eyebrow, it seemed like some of them had already broken into the wine. Fine by him, start the celebrations early. Crowley smirked, feeling the energy rising in the town. Soon the entire city would be running rampant with celebrations and sins, it was as close to paradise as a demon could get. Crowley felt a familiar presence tug at his chest and he turned his head sharply searching the crowd around him. It looked like the holidays were about to get even better.

Crowley looked up at that, his other eyebrow arching up to join the first. Let me tempt you. He would have put decent sestertius on all of eternity passing without him hearing those words from an angel's lips.

Nothing! Despite my initial doubts about them, Darren and Brandi have their priorities straight. Their household is bonkers... and warm. Individually, not all of them are well-adjusted (especially Brandi), but as a family, they rock. So much so that they remind me of the Lands.

I’m setting Marla and Mitch up for a nickel-and-dimed challenge, and I’ve already decided to tweak the rules to make sure I can keep Marla happy. She’s a gem.
